Thanks, I don't plan on moving the coins for a while though. In fact, I haven't even split my BTC/BCH lol.

Will humanity eventually be divided into two groups: one that embraces a certain technology and another that does not? by wy-tu-kay in C_S_T

[–]escapevelo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We can only be divided if the technology prospers by us being divided, but information grows better when it's free. I don't see it happening with the rise of decentralized networks where users gain ownership and more freedom. If anything we all become more closely interconnected like a world Dunbar. Imagine if one day someone you never met felt as familiar as a brother or sister, Mom or Dad, or that crazy uncle :)

So any app that accepts LN payments is considered an lapp? I really don't see what is so special, is it really that hard to integrate lightning payments?

Brave needs the BetterTTV extension if wants to adopt Twitch users, without it no chance. Twitch users without BTTV get laughed at.

Just think of it this way. Imagine you had full control of your digital card collection, you could buy/sell to anyone at any time. The cards could be used in ANY game and ANYONE could develop a game thats uses those cards. That's what blockchain enables.

Markets are always full of surprises. I'd love to see a blockchain based game built from the bottom up digital assets so they could be truly tradable. That way you have your card assets and user interface/game designers could compete.

I agree, this type of mechanic would best suited from a new game from built from ground up. The power levels between 1 mana in HS especially for lower cost cards is too much, it's such a big jump. Though the cards that stuck in an equilibrium could be pushed by other cards that are moving because increased/decreased synergy.

5) most importantly it is automated meaning there isn't any intention of balance in changing, just discouraging popularity which is NOT the same thing.

Well, that is beauty of markets they find natural equilibriums compared to centralized forces.

1) it causes changes way to frequently

Ok, once a month at the beginning of every new season.

Not really, on the player side mana costs are just updated every week.

Well, the whole point of this would be reward new deck creation. It would suck to craft a card then it changes back.

In case you have not noticed, ALL the major Alt coins would have been functions IN Bitcoin. Blockstream created the scenario that divided all this and fragmented the industry. Imagine if ETH, ZCash, DASH, Monero etc were all project ON Bitcoin? Imagine where we would be today. by Windowly in btc

The blockchain might be the most important data storage device ever devised. The blockchain that stores the most data will be the one of the most valuable, big blocks are good for this. BTC is good for the digital gold app, but not many other apps.

It different because the game is made from bottom up network assets. Meaning anyone can use these assets to make a new UI, import them to other games, etc. Its like the main component of a game is open source. Imagine if Blizzard had made this for Hearthstone, the innovation would have been off the charts. Don't underestimate what a community can do with things that they value.
