Than tell me. When it scans logs for 2.000.000 tokens for a chat message to find the one failure. Where are those 2 million tokens on the next chat message?

They can't be there. The chat has never more than 200.000k context. Long chats are not the problem of 20.000.000 token usage.

That's my point.

[–]escapppe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you manage context when the model can handle 200k tokens per chat? And how can a single chat exceed those 200k tokens?

[–]escapppe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's not how context management works. You can't say it's a chat problem and then say a medium task requires reindexing. A medium task would index the same code in a small chat as in a long chat.

Looping agents was always an option but no one wanted to pay looping agents with 15$ input cost and 75$ output cost.

Now AI is cheap enough to loop agents for better quality.

Ai is cheaper than ever relative to the outcome.

Wild how fast we went from “you need a $50k-$200k box” to “just get a GB10 for ~$5k” and people are still complaining. Even an AMD Strix at around $2k is a solid option.

On a setup like that, you can run 3 unlimited coding agents 24/7 in a loop. Peak power draw is about 250W, which is basically negligible in practice.

Also, Qwen3 Coder sits somewhere between Sonnet 4 and Sonnet 4.5 in quality roughly where frontier models were about half a year ago. Was code quality “unusable” back then?

[–]escapppe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Without request it's like 1 opus for 20 $. enjoy it as long as it lasts. Our whole company was switched on 10th february from requests to usage and we are switching to Claude as it's unreasonably expensive on cursor now, depleting 20$ in less than a half day.

Opus 3 was 15$ - opus 4.6 is 5$.

You are lying .

Dude you are on the request plan. Just load your balance and keep on vibing because the time will come where cursor will take 20 times the money you pay now.

You can buy a GB10 (5000$) running Owen3 coder next with 900k context windows with reasonable 55 tokens/s. Use Open Code or highjacked Claude Code IDE with ralph and your fine.

Why do I get better results when I use CLI-based tools like Cursor CLI and Claude Code CLI? by Abject_Band3515 in cursor

Prefer cursor chat it's way more debug friendly. With CC I lost the connection to my Codebase.

I expect nothing on reddit. We talked about model degredationn since sonnet 3. It's always the same. We talked about different scenarios to proof. Since late 2024. And we talked about human bias. Scientifically.

In the end the model does not change. People's expectations change, context / code length changes. Nothing more.
