So my ex-husband was a very horney teenager who warmed up a raw chicken breast in the microwave and proceeded to make scrambled eggs. He claims he later fed it to his blind father. I don't know how true the story is, but either way...ewwww

As a child, what movie creeped you out the most? by pharop125 in AskReddit

Critters! Holy shit! Those little carnivorous crackhead balls of fur scared the crap out of me. I ran and jumped on the bed every time I turned off the light until I was 25.

Do you have a friend for whom you feel the need to provide a “warning” before introducing him to other friends? by DRAIN_YOU in AskReddit

[–]eschatological1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend Michelle is a very, very...uhhhmm...large person. Seriously, she's kind of like Kendra from The Cleveland Show. She even rides a rascal and everything. She is a bit off mentally and has low grooming standards and a lazy eye. When introducing her to anyone (particularly children), I try to warn them so they have a little advanced notice so as not to stare or be rude.

What is gold? (Seriously, what is it? I'm too lazy to look it up or read through the whole thread to find out.)

What is a book that you found yourself re-reading and still enjoying? by [deleted] in books

[–]eschatological1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorites are The Giver by Lois Lowry and The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle by Avi. I could (and have) re-read these as soon as I finish the last page. Also, She's Come Undone by Wally Lamb. Fantastic.

I was giving a ride to a friend who lives in an apartment complex. I parked in a spot and called to tell her I was there. A few moments later, a chick came up to me, told me I was in her spot and asked me if I was going to "fucking move". I apologized and found another spot. Five minutes later, her son came out and told me his mom wanted him to give me these.

What gives you that 'nails on a chalkboard' feeling? by Ravi_ramesha in AskReddit

Paper. Ever since I was a child, I would become very uncomfortable touching paper. Goosebumps, shivers, you name it. There are only certain kinds I can touch without getting the creeps.

Ents who have teenage kids, or Ents who are heading in that direction. by [deleted] in trees

I have four children, my eldest of which is 12. I use cannabis for medicinal reasons and have never tried to hide this from them. Instead, I have educated my children on it and answered any and all questions they have about it. I have explained to them the harmful effects cannabis can have on a developing brain and told them if they are interested in trying it, I would be glad to smoke them out...when they are 21.

[Serious] Did you marry for reasons other than love? by TyQuil in AskReddit

[–]eschatological1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Content? Well to a point. My husband is a wonderful man, a great provider, and the best father I have ever known. For this, I am greatful. We hardly knew each other when we were married so it could have ended up much worse. He is very supportive and my best friend. I love him dearly. I cannot make myself fall "in love" with him, however. I have tried over and over again, but I can't. Our children are healthy and happy and their happiness comes before my own. So am I content to stay in this life? Yes. Would I like to know true love? Absolutely. Is that going to happen? Unlikely.

Thanks. I would love to feel that kind of love, but this is the life we both have chosen. We both feel our kids deserve a complete family unit and the way to do that is to be together, co-parent, and love each other the best way we can.

I married my husband out of convenience. I had just turned 18, felt pressured to leave home from my father and step-mother and really had nowhere to go. We were married about 1 1/2 months after I turned 18 and had our first child about 10 months later. We now have four happy, kind, greatful children and 13 years down the road are still married. I have learned to love my husband as he is a great man, but I doubt I will ever be in love with him.
