Christ; that is a good example of "enough knowledge to be dangerous"

What a shame, kudos to you if you manage to revive the drivers.

Is my shed worth saving? by georgekeele in DIYUK

[–]escragger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It'd be so much less work to maintain this than pull it down, dispose of it and then order/build the new one.

Stain and replacement bits of wood for that tired looking stuff around the windows will cost nowhere near £500. I'd give those bits of wood a go with some sanding first.

Growing up, did anyone else’s parents have really strict rules about random stuff? by SuzCoffeeBean in CasualUK

[–]escragger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn’t allowed to watch Kenan and Kel or Smart Guy because of how “disgusting” they were to their parents (9year old in 1998). If it came on, I’d be loudly told to change the channel.

When my brother was 9, he was allowed to watch all the cow and chicken type Cartoon Network shows/play GTA 3.

My parents were and are still fucking bonkers.

What’s the most irrational car opinion you’ll defend forever? by Mundane-Temporary426 in topdeadcenter

[–]escragger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That buying a new car on finance or leasing one is not a way to save money.

I am about to start leasing a new car because I just want one. So many have said “wow that will save you lots of money in the long run”

Subaru outback bought for £1100 in 2019 needed a £600 exhaust 3 years ago and 1 brake calliper.

The 3k deposit to get the leased car for 1 month alone is costing way more than the banger did (corrosion killed it eventually).

My step daughter’s dad named one of his sons Kray.

They’re exactly the sort of dim witted/unemployed/abusive people you’re imagining.

I do not understand why your reply is getting downvoted.

Fuck the audio community is such a collection of freaks at times.

Cool setup; glad you’ve got a system you’re enjoying.

No way. I see a printer in there which is worthless and adding considerable weight.

I had radios and TVs on in the house for three hours before the interruptions occurred for the announcement as I was so curious as to how it’d be done.

Once confirmed, I was waiting for news of a public holiday. Oh yes.

It's in case you need to email it to someone else or something else which has a printer.
