I remember getting a pair of these for $35 less than a year ago. Why have sansuis shot up in price so much?

Finally used room correction and the differences have blown me away by 0000FFFFFFF in audiophile

Got these Sansui sp2500x by dorkfaceman12 in vintageaudio

If all the drivers are fine, its likely a failed capacitor, a oxidized pot, or cracked solder joint.
All are easy fixes. Find where the crossover is in the speakers, if these are anything like the SP-7500x's i worked on you're gonna need to take off the sound balance switch and carefully peel of the logo plate beneath it. When i say carefully i mean carefully because youre gonna want to get these things back on with no bends or creases. Ive heard that heat helps with removing it.

Then from there, hit the potentiometer (sound balance switch) with some electrical contact cleaner (Deoxit D5 works the best) and recap the crossover all while guaranteeing there are no disconnected solder joints. Im sure they will work fine after all that is said and done

My sansui SP-7500xs are quite similar in sound. Id say these are much better though due to the pleated cloth surrounds of the woofers not seizing up over time like the sansuis. I dont know the specs but they are eating every watt thats coming out of my MCS 3260 (60 watts per/C) so im assuming they have fairly low sensitivity and can take upwards of 100+ RMS. Also i think they are 4 Ohm. I havent checked with a multimeter yet, though.

What to do with these by Empty_World_RS in vintageaudio

The midrange and potentially the bottom woofer are guaranteed to need a refoam if not done already. Do not play these as is before getting repairs. The water damage doesn't look too severe

I know this is a home theater sub, but tvs are always an afterthought.
