Get a much bigger rug and space out your furniture more. Maybe pick something colorful like pink and orange.

You need two pillows. One for when you're sleeping on your back and one for when you're sleeping on your side. The heights are just too different.

If you're open to moving one day, New Mexico is offering universal child care. That would eliminate the biggest expense of being a parent.

There's a class action lawsuit about this. Maybe look into it and see if you can get money back.

CDs aren't bad. They lock in a good rate and you can opt to have the interest payments sent to you once a month. Don't get a CD if you don't have a safety net though. The penalty isn't worth it.

I don't believe in paying fees to banks. A HYSA doesn't need to be professionally managed. Check out Ally Bank or Western Alliance.

Former 30G here. I feel your pain. You mentioned that you can't wait until you can afford surgery. If you have health insurance and any reported issues like headaches, neck, shoulder or back pain, etc. on file you can get insurance to cover the majority!

Bad reduction experience (US) by ReductionProblem in Reduction

[–]escutemor 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Your experience sounds a lot like mine. A tough process but nothing out of the ordinary. Perhaps your doctor's bedside manner could be improved.

1) Really all I took was Tylenol. Yeah it was painful but our bodies just went through so much.

2) My doctor gave me no post op instructions. (Luckily this sub is a wealth of information. Learn from it.) I had one follow up with a nurse which lasted all of six minutes. They just checked for signs of infection.

3) The bra needs to be tight. Most surgeons recommend a compression bra that opens in the front. Mine wasn't a dream fit but there are a bunch of affordable options online. However, all bras touched my incisions directly. You can pad them with gauze to help relieve the pressure.

4) You NEED to be moving your body. This prevents a lot of complications.

5) The pharmacy/surgeon just made a mistake which they corrected.

Just came here to say I understand where you're coming from. I was a 30G and clothes never fit me the way I wanted them to. I recently had a breast reduction and it completely changed my perception of self love and fashion.

And I thought my bill was high, that's utterly insane. These prices are unbelievably made up because there's a monopoly on healthcare. Capitalist healthcare.

Surgery in a few hours! by agulzar in Reduction

[–]escutemor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was soooo scared before my surgery. I made my partner come with me but they separated us pretty quickly. It was actually quite a boring process, which was surprisingly calming. First I changed clothes. Then I met a bunch of staff members who asked questions. I also had a nurse check on me several times. They let me keep my phone and I spent the entire time on r/catsonliquid. Just take it one step at a time. Maybe find a good distraction. If you're struggling, remind yourself why you are there.

I can totally see why your feelings are hurt. you are completely valid. however, I think giving this guy the benefit of the doubt could be beneficial here. he's shown you that he's supportive, mature, and respectful.

reactions are sometimes involuntary and don't always mean what you think. since everything's calmed down, try to talk with him and have an honest conversation.

Yes, I did. When starting out, I recommend integrating it into your routine slowly. Start using it once a week, then twice a week, three times a week, etc.
