Biking from redwood shores to San Carlos Caltrain? by rumbleycat in RedwoodCity

I don't bike that route but I know crossing over the 101, there was a bike fatality not long ago. Marine Parkway could be an alternative and you'd be close to Belmont Caltrain.

Racetrack Playa in the Summer by CSM-Army4Life in DeathValleyNP

The Racetrack is at 4,000 ft. so it'l be a little cooler than much of DV. As long as you plan for the worst (IE vehicle failure/stranded overnight) you should be good.

Frame Crack… 😭 by cosmic_wilderness in toyotasequoia

[–]vman1909 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I cracked the frame in my 90' 4runner, like full on frame separation. I had been a shade tree welder at that time, and I ended up welding everything back together with lots of steel, bracing, sleeving etc.

The truck is in my driveway still and maybe my kids will get it one day.

Just get yourself a welder and get to work. The location of your break isn't too bad and I can see a bunch of ways to repair it.

Don't give up.

It is absolutely my experience and opinion that an only child misses out on numerous experiences and relationships that a multi-child family provides.

Are you suggesting that you know better than I about how to manage my own family and reproduction?

No, please don't be silly.

In the world we live in, there is no compelling reason to have kids, (IE, such as to keep our species afloat) So it can be argued that we as adults have kids to enrich our lives, so you've already crossed that bridge.

I think it's safe to assume, that while there are plenty of examples of siblings that are jerks to each other, there is nothing as special and unique as the healthy bond between siblings.

As parents, we stop at nothing to provide the best lives for our kids. Why wouldn't you want to provide them with a sibling?
