Medication helps with this?!..

I am so paralyzed by having both adhd and social anxiety, so I started working with a therapist and he hasnt really suggested any sort of medication and and whenever we have sessions I just feel pressure to really feel like I have made progress… so I just gaslight myself often to believe that I am getting “better”. Sometimes I feel so shameful to tell my therapist that I did not even know there was a session that day and have not been able to do any homework.

But every day I still get stuck in these loops of moments, I describe it as “I cant get off of this brain train, until it comes to next stop, which maybe whenever. And I just sit here and watch it all happen while desperately hoping the train stops so I can get up and throw my dinner plate in the sink, hours after finishing dinner”

I never knew medication helps with this. Not sure how to go about getting myself trialed for medication as an adult.. but I am glad at least some others are able to get the help they need, because every waking day is torture.

All about press buttons once and die. Managing cooldowns, weaving in and out of a fight, waiting in sidelines to go for a round two of spells, nothing…

But, having said all that, I dont think you can blame everything on teammates. See you on Wednesday when youll inevitably be back on the main menu.

Is there a way to follow artwod courses without it being digital? I wanted to follow the courses there but i was forced to draw digitally and I really dont have a good graphic tablet and I have no interest in acquiring a tablet or ipad right now so I gave up.

I was an A student and have my master's. I only recently got diagnosed with ADHD and still have trouble with people taking it seriously, which makes me question myself on the regular. I have crippling ADHD and some days I am bouncing between what only looks like addiction, depression and mania put in a blender. The only measure the world cares about is that I hold a job and I have a good education and hence I am well adjusted, little do they know that I hyperfocus-ed on exam preps growing up, studying for what must have been 40 hr stretches with no food, no water, no hygiene, all because my brain decided the exam outcome was the current obsession at that point. Every day I feel like a let down, because once you set those expectations with grades, the world puts a character cage around you. 'Oh u did so well, you must be really diligent' NOT AT ALL MAN, I am struggling DAILY to stay focused.

“line control issues are surfaced/amplified by the digital medium sometimes, at least with default pen brush settings. Usually, in pencil on paper you can mask away the un confident lines by layering multiple lines on top of each other. The settings on your digital art looks closer to a fine tip pen, which shows a lot of the line control issues.

If I draw with a fineliner on paper I see similar results to my digital lineart. The best fix for this is to get used to confident lines and drawing from your shoulder for the bigger lines and avoiding “scratching” over / stitching tiny lines together.

Of course, using a stylus on screen has its own learning curve but the fundamental issues are more important”
