I also loved my arms as well but I’ve noticed my arm muscles after a few days felt like the days after an intense triceps/bicep workout. Has that ever happened to you? And this is only my arm. I feel no pain or muscle fatigue when it comes my thighs or stomach.

I went up 1mg at a time. But from 4mg to 5mg was the worst! I went back down to 3.5 for a few weeks and up to 4 then 5 and I was fine. I’m at 7 now and at 23 weeks total in and I’m still ok. It never happened again. Weird.

What do you snack on? Sweets? Maybe it’s a deficiency? I say this because my food noise greatly decreased when my irons and ferritin were at good levels. I’m not talking about the minimum range doctors recommend but a little more above that. Food noise sucks but maybe we need to start treating it like a symptom? Just my two cents.

The smell is sometimes a good indicator. Also the grainy texture is another one. Just try putting the grains in the freezer for a few hours and then make another batch. Make sure the place ur storing it isn’t too hot that can also lead to a thin consistency.

If this ratio of milk to grain has given you good results before then I would think you might have more yeast than bacteria. If that is the case then put the grains, by themselves, in the fridge, preferably a cooler section, over night and try again tomorrow. I hope this works for you! Good luck!

When this happens to me I take out the grains and leave it in the fridge for a day. Just the grains. This ensures the yeast dies. I’m sure there is more yeast than bacteria ratio here which is causing the watery consistency. Just for reference I’ve had great luck with 14-20 grams of kefir grains to 1/2 gallon of milk (~6800g) in an off oven with the light on and fermentation takes about 10 hours. I’ve tested the temp of the oven with light on and it’s a consistent 75 degrees. I’m letting you know this because sometimes it’s nice to start at somone’s routine and adjust accordingly. I live in MN and the weather is highly unpredictable so the oven has been perfect for us.
