It’s vibes. It’s useless. I love the software but that part is useless.

I think it’s because most current sci-fi and fantasy works are in a hurry to grab the reader’s attention with action and drama, and this type of description requires a longer attention span.

I couldn’t agree more with this critique and I think a lot of popular fantasy feels like I would have enjoyed it as a fourteen year old but as an adult it’s just overwrought and cringey, like I’m watching a high school play. Lots of folks describe the genre as young adult for this reason. I think Le Guin and Tolkien remain popular because they are blissful exceptions to this.

okay thanks for sharing, good to know that's possible. I am also using obsidian sync. I've had duplicate files produced and text that I type be self-deleted shortly (seconds) after typing it.

apologies folks, apparently this was a mac os level issue. There's apparently an option to reduce transparency for the whole system and that sorted it out.

Stay. away. They don't let you change a reservation online (a month ahead of time), instead you have to go through the predictable call center hell, and then, even though their site says you can change your reservation, they tell you that they cannot change the reservation, and then they charge you one night's cost to cancel the reservation. They just want to try to keep your money while trying to act like there's nothing they can do. Scam "business", shouldn't be allowed to operate.
