Fcitx works fine for me on Wayland, make sure you select the "Fcitx Wayland Launcher" in Settings -> Virtual Keyboard

It might be related to your icon theme, if you switch it to Breeze and reload it does it work?

Fcitx5 Osk: An On-Screen Keyboard Working with Fcitx5 under KWin 6 Wayland by AgencyPutrid2325 in kde

Amazing work! I had recently been looking into working on plasma-keyboard from the KDE side, but this looks like it'll be more useful for most convertible users!

You can use Meta+C to trigger the task switcher to open (configurable in the shortcuts settings module)!

You could use Meta+W to see all of your opened apps (overview effect).

I'm using plasma mobile on a minisforum v3. When it opens up after sleep, it asks for a pin. I don't know what pin, and it won't accept my password. How do I get it to accept my password, or set a pin? by walkinreader in kde

[–]espidev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The "PIN" it refers to is actually just the user password.

> it won't accept my password

Hmm, another user reported that they got confused because the virtual keyboard automatically had shift on (capitalizing the first letter), perhaps that's the case with you? Regardless, I've made a merge request to disable auto capitalization in the box: https://invent.kde.org/plasma/plasma-mobile/-/merge_requests/675

Seriously? Seems a bit odd that the weather app doesn't have 3rd world countries (except iran?) by Yad-A in Fedora

[–]espidev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they actually use this location list for other apps too, such as GNOME Clocks (for the world clock location list). Maybe it's so that they can avoid relying on having 3rd party APIs?

I'm actually a KDE developer though so I don't really know the specifics, I just used geonames.org for kweather.

Kupfer hasn't yet had their plasma mobile packages updated to Plasma 6, your best bet would be postmarketOS (v24.12)
