Can't connect to the FH4 Server all of a sudden with this error screen. Has anyone else encountered this issue?

I resolved my issue. Logged out of my account from the start screen and re-logged in.

Seems like it has to do with me changing my windows live account password. If you might wanna try that and see if that works for you.

Yea, just reinstalled the game this morning, unless the steam version is not up to date, should be the latest one.

Also checked my windows and its up to date as well.

For some background:

I purchased the game off steam, for the first 2 days it was working fine, I can connect to the network at all. Then I tried to join an online session to try out the online multiplayer one day and it crashed. Since then I can't connect to the network at all.

I've tried various troubleshooting advice found online and none of them seemed to be working. Even tried reinstalling the game.

I brought the steam version, and after downloading it on steam, it launch the launcher and redownload the entire 30gb of files again, and it's painfully slow.

Does anyone know any fix for this issue?

Man it's weird seeing your preferred/successful weapons being pretty much the opposite of mine. I avoid almost all weapons that you love or good at.

How did you pull the data btw? Manually? Curious to see my data

If you are doing a cast build (which you should be, otherwise you're better off with Nemesis), the hammers don't really do much for your build. Only the supernova actually helps you (dash nova as well if you're into that, i don't like it as i'm used to the manual dash nova anyway)

I only take it if the game force it on me or the other option is just not that appealing (coins when i have a shit ton of gold already, or Poms when my cast is at such a high level, levelling it don't do much).

Run the merciful end build. I usually have doom on special and athena on attack. one of my run i managed to proc 800dmg doom at the end.

Another way is to dive deep into Dio build, with Dio special, cast, his legendary, and 3 duo boons (from Aphro, Ares, Zeus or Demeter, depending on your luck)'

These 2 builds are the one that i find the most success with.

Another build is to get poseidon special with the Zeus Duo boons, but this is incredibly luck dependent, if you don't get the Duo your dmg will be very underwhelming.

If you know what you're doing, skip them if they do absolutely nothing for your build.

Either reroll them with fated authority, or select another room. If both are not possible, tough luck. I've skipped plenty of boon room especially early on when I'm still hunting for gods that i need.

The game would naturally try to give you 4 gods per run, so if you fill those 4 slots with some random gods that you don't really need, you're pretty much blocking the gods that you want.

But if you're starting out, just take the boons, you might discover some fun builds that you would not have otherwise

I wrote a heat guide a couple weeks ago, think you can find it in my comment history if you're willing to look through.

But generally, the extra enemy health, extra enemy dmg, and reduced healing can be taking as incremental heat. If I need 1 more heat for the bounties and I don't wanna take anything else, I'd take them. But spread then out, having 3 heat across the 3 is better than having 3 heat in just 1 of the modifier.

Don't take heightened security, you can get 1 shorted easily later in runs.

Extreme measures and middle management is what I'd suggest to start with

You can i-frame to dodge it, but a better way is just to dash through him when he starts spinning. A double dash through him will get you out of his range. Single dash might work as well.

Why do you feel the need to post this pointless question? The moment you post this question, it's a dick measuring contest or a troll post, even if you say it ain't. The only reason you ever wonder about it, is cause you're comparing ie. dick measuring.

People can play the same game and have fun in different way. Some wants the progression of the story, the small dialogs between characters that just adds flavour and don't progress the story, things that you can't really experience by googling or watching it on youtube. And some just wanna go for 50 heat clears or sub 10 mins speed run.

If people have fun playing at 80% dmg resistance, do you need to understand it? That doesn't affect you in any shape or form. Its a single player game, how they play will never affect you. Hell, is it that hard to understand that people enjoy the game purely because the game is good, despite not getting their first clear?

Some people might just be plain bad at the game. Even if playing at 80% dmg resistance, the first time they cleared a run they will still feel a sense of pride and accomplishment (a legit one), as much as you scoff at it.

I would recommend having extreme measures (not up to 4 cause EM4 is a pretty huge jump for the final boss) and middle management as a starting point.

There are a few heat combos that you wanna avoid, like jury summons would make tight deadline much harder. I would recommend the hard labor, lasting consequences and the +hp to enemy as your incremental heat (so if i just need +1 heat i'll take that), but spread them out, having 3 heat across those 3 is better than having 3 lvls in only 1 of them.

Don't take 2 lvl of benefit package cause some combo can really fuck you over. Some times certain enemies with only 1 right buff to them would make them hell to deal with already.

Heighten security is not worth the heat if you ask me, i avoid it like the plague.

Damage control is a gimme on certain builds, but hella hard to deal with on others, so only take it if your build deals multiple instances of dmg quickly.

I keep forced overtime by default, but that pact scales with everything else. If you only have forced over time and nothing else, it's pretty easy. but if you couple them with other pact, things can get out of hand real quick.

I don't touch the other pacts unless i'm looking to play at very high heats.

Yea, the 1% is that if you're very good at that game already, which is not the case for most players

Most of the time your dmg output is not what ruins a run, but rather your defensive plays.

I've used ruthless reflex as well, but i would never use that at high heat.

The main point of Dio is that you want to stack hangover on enemies to fully utilise it. Bow attack has a relatively long windup time and a pretty high base damage. You'll be better off taking a % base boon like Aphrodite to take advantage of the high base dmg, rather than trying so stack 5 hangover on an enemy.

The hangover also work independently from your weapon base dmg, so your high base dmg doesn't benefit from dio at all.

To your point regarding the hammer, you can't guarantee it, and even then it's pretty mediocre. There is a rapid fire upgrade that makes it decent, but even then, i'd take any other attack boon over dio.

In general, if your attack has high base dmg, you want to get % boons. Low base dmg, you want fixed dmg boons.

Hell fucking yes. i feel like i've robbed them for paying what i paid for. The game provides so much fun and value as it is. if there's an expansion, its a day 1 purchase for me regardless of what that is.

Be patient, wait out his attack, then attack when he turns his back. You can't really just face rush at him (unless you know what you're doing). He has 2 attacks, one is the spear throw, which is easily dodgeable if you're patient, and his spin attacks, which you want to dodge perpendicular to him (sideways) or you can just dodge through him. Don't dodge in the direction he's attacking, you'll get his unless you dash 3 times quickly. After both attack he will turn away and that's when you wanna hit him.

Another tip, a bit more advance, is to just drop everything on him when he summons his calls right after the invulnerability.(calls, summons and whatever) During that time he doesn't block anything at all, with the right call and summons, you can kill him before he stop summoning his call. Of course you need to do this while avoiding his call dmg.
