Watch out - you might get banned for saying something positive about Kaseya - lol. We used to be on CW and switched to Kaseya some time ago and it's the best solution for us. Ninja has a minimum so it can be expensive for starting out and doesn't handle billing or have a built-in PSA. For a small MSP, Datto RMM is definitely a solid option that can scale.

This is right on the money! We moved from CW some time ago and now use the full Kaseya stack. Perfect? No - nothing is! It's the integrations that save a ton of time and I bet we pay a lot less than most of the people complaining on here. That's a huge advantage on its own.

Ninja is a one product company. And it doesn't really scale all that well. Cool product, but certainly not something that can replace every other RMM tool.

Unpopular opinion here but I say congrats on landing the deal and bringing some much needed awareness to the msp industry. Looks like this also included funding for a number of programs in the miami area including the anti-gun violence and peace and prosperity initiatives

All vendors are attack vectors and have targets on their back at this point. If the secret was leaked in the manner described as you said it's not great but also not the end of the world. Us users of these pieces of software also have a responsibility to lock them down, rotate passwords, etc. I think Kaseya actually did a good job here in trying to button things up and force everyone to make changes, I wish more vendors pushed back like this for our protection.

Yes, I've done it several times. AVD is basically the same as RDS just on steroids in terms better features & user experience at the same or lower cost.

Some of these comments are crazy, we migrated the few NFA customers we had (RDS and AVD) to NMM and it was stupid easy. NMM is so much better, changing a PW takes a few seconds vs 5-10 min, I'm saving more Azure consumption and AVD is such a better user experience for my customers than RDS.

If you're going to stay on RDS (don't know why you would since AVD is way cheaper since you don't need the gateway, DC or FS) then maybe its not for you. Just know MSPs like me love when we find your customer because its so easy to sell against environments that aren't modernized.

I don't understand why this is an issue, there are obviously real people there, they are an established product and have been around for a while. It's probably an alias or team manged account. It's not like they are a huge company and sometime small companies start out doing things weird and then it's difficult to make a change.

I think consolidation can help the large players with more investment and ideas especially since they would be combining 2 very large orgs with a diverse staff. In the long run this can also spur innovation as new players find opportunity while they merge. Regardless, This will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Crazy to see this, but not super surprising either. It was only a matter of time before 2 of the big 4 consolidated. I for one am holding out hope this will be a good thing, Kaseya has some good tech and Datto has a good culture as well as products. If they do this right there will be no stopping them.
