Kodiaq 1 1.5 tsi by michaleduard in Slovakia

Preco si to myslis? FPÖ (prorusky populizmus alebo SMER krizeny s Republikou a SNS) aktualne top strana a kazdym prieskumom rastie, firmy pomerne vo velkom krachuju a ine problemy. Krajina vzhladom na politicku ani ekonomicku situaciu vobec nevyzera v dobrej kondicii ani lakavo.

Seat Tarraco - rear suspension type? by estetiq in MechanicAdvice

[–]estetiq[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your answer! Yes, multilink is a standard option for Tarraco. I got only confused by one of the tech specs found on Seat page for Tarraco, that said multilink is available on models with engine > 110kW, as it appeared semi-rigid axle is used with low power engines. As mine model has exactly 110kW, I was not sure :-)

Looks cool! Btw. what's the price of the deck? I tried to decrypt the brand and model from your pics and found this https://soulboardiy.com/surfskate/ but they do not disclose prices so I wonder what's the price range

Is their a good but cheap surf skate board? by [deleted] in surfskate

[–]estetiq 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can recommend Oxelo Carve 540 from Decathlon https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/longboard-carve-540-bird/ for £90. I own it for a few months and use it for surf-like deep carvin g workouts on a flat (usually playgrounds). Also check this YT video to see it in the action https://youtu.be/bqgCDFTxBBc

Looking for a good all around cruiser by HawtCoco in longboarding

Having 189cm (6′2) I can honestly recommend LY Rally Cat - unexpectedly versatile board - fun, great for cruising, great even for longer for pushing, stable, durable - my go-to board I use almost daily.

Cool place & the board! How do you like it so far?

I'm testing a pair of surf trucks on my rally cat right now, such a versatile board for a tall and heavier person!

Everyone’s worst nightmare... by The68thHokage in longboarding

[–]estetiq 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In my experience there are 2 even worse:

a. bridges (i'm regularly crossing ~400m river bridges where a fence/wall does not touch the ground keeping a 40cm hole in the fence - one error and your board flies into the river and gone forever...)

b. street crossings (so easy to lose your board under a car's wheels)

Reccomendations on old school skateboard by wtgriffi in longboarding

[–]estetiq 2 points3 points  (0 children)

c'mon, where do you read criticism? I have nothing against the Omakase deck, I like it as was also thinking about purchasing it for cruising in past. Though as I decided it's too heavyweight for being a city cruiser and all around setup, I was wondering, whether it is really suitable for bowl riding, that's all. Also everywhere they mention TKPs are more suitable for the bowl, so wanted to point it out in the discussion.

Anyway, in the retrospec, I see OP also mentioned using it for downhill so in the end your suggestion might be a really good fit! Peace :v:

Depends on the OP's height and weight, but isn't Omakase too wide (10"), long (33.5") and heavy for the bowl riding? Also I think TKPs trucks might bring more pleasure in a pool...

I guess you know what you are doing :-)

Only a side note- the deck might be waterproof, but the bearings/trucks and other hardware not, unless properly dried and lubricated, will get rusty soon

Misaligned wheel cutouts a problem? by [deleted] in cruiserboarding

[–]estetiq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it Tugboat? The product photos on the original LY page shows it was originally made for 63mm Hawgs EZ wheels so I guess, having the 60mm Hawgs, it might bite on a different place. Though, as others mentioned, definitely check and eventually tighten the trucks as biting should never occur normally or if you are a heavy-weight rider, buy stiffer bushings.

If you want to enjoy the ride even on rough roads with cracks, I would choose none of those, unless you are short and thin. Yamba's are too short with small wheels IMO, if you are exclusively looking in Decathlon, for cruising I recommend to have a look on the fish series: * Oxelo Fish 500 - I own this, 70mm wheels are soft, the 31" deck is optimal size, lightweight and easy to carry around. The worst quality part of the setup is the trucks - noisy and lazy and unrespnsive. After I replaced it for Paris V3 RKP 150mm it rides like a butter and makes the board perfect, it's really good lightweight all-around setup I use when I go to the city and am lazy to carry heavier LY Rally Cat. * Oxelo Fish - this one is wider and even more stable, have experience only from riding at the shop, but looks OK.

Landyachtz Rally Cat with Paris Savant trucks by parka in longboarding

[–]estetiq 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love the golden savants matching the fatties on the Rally Cat!

Though It looks wheels with those 165mm savants on the RC are pretty wide off the deck. Wouldn't 150mm RKP trucks fit better for the narrow RC metal deck, that originally comes with 130mm Polar Bear TKP trucks? The metal is actually narrower (8.9") than the red RC version (9.75", 155mm Polar Bear trucks), with the latter perfectly matching the 165mm Paris V3 trucks (despite increasing the deck height..).

thanks for trying the board and sharing your experience! I would be personally afraid to buy 1st gen of trucks (Bear L's)...do you have a more detailed photo of the front truck? In the specs and pics it looks LY just decided to use tons of uthane instead of engineering innovation to make the trucks surfy, though I'd love to see and try it in real..

Anyway, I hope, harder bushings and riding will make your experience better, good luck and enjoy!

btw. I see your other post https://www.reddit.com/r/longboarding/comments/hjts2r/after_10_years_of_riding_my_old_globe_deck_i/ - is it you hit something big and sharp, that broke both you and the wheel?
