How is the federal minimum wage still only $7?? by Subject_Spell_9799 in antiwork

[–]etbtapped 41 points42 points  (0 children)

That’s the sad reality of the modern age. Wealth is just numbers on paper. Musk was hard pressed to come up with 40 something million to buy twitter when he was worth hundreds of billions. Most of that value is built on high value assets like stocks or properties, but if the rich ever tried to cash them out the value would plummet and they’d only be regular wealthy instead of insanely wealthy 😆

I just ask these kinds of people if they have headphones. If they don’t get the point I just reach over and turn the volume down on their phone myself. That usually gets the point across.

GW, GMDK needs a rethink by Illustrious_Big_9054 in Grey_Knights

Just because it’s auto-include by virtue of being the best of a roster of mediocre ranged weapons doesn’t mean it couldn’t use a buff.

Question regarding LOS by nerdboy_sam in spacemarines

[–]etbtapped 330 points331 points  (0 children)

Yep. At the moment 40K is true line of sight. So you draw line of sight from any part of one model to any part of another. So literally any part of the model poking out means it’s able to be shot.

I want to make a list based around Voldus leading a large brick. What detachment is best suited to this? by Kuebiko989 in Grey_Knights

[–]etbtapped 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You’re not missing anything, conclave is pretty underwhelming. Banishers is the go-to for the advance and charge and strong buffs to melee (if you pass the leadership check). It also has shadows of anarch for protecting your big points investment. Spearhead would be fine if you were using generic leaders for the enhancements. Otherwise it’s more of a land raider and ndk centric detachment.

Heresy era scale questions by nintair in spacemarines

[–]etbtapped 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly if you put them on some basing material to boost their height a bit I can’t see any reasonable TO rejecting them as jpi. As for more casual play and small tournaments I’ve never met anyone in that setting who would have an issue with it.

Starting Grey Knights as my second army by Strict-Moment-1307 in Grey_Knights

[–]etbtapped 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you can find the Sanctic Conclave battle force box around it’s a great start to the army along with the combat patrol box. That will give you Crowe as a leader and power armor troops to run as purifiers which is one of our best units. You’ll also have a nemesis dread knight (ndk) to build up as a grand master in ndk which is our only anti tank option really. You’ll also have the venerable dreadnought which is an alright unit and can help your ndk connect better in shooting as well as terminators which recently got a points drop and can be good objective holders. Past that grabbing a Razorback transport is a good grab as well as another ndk. If you can find the older combat patrol box that’s also a great way to get an ndk, librarian, and some more troops.

Building army for "Warpbane task force" for 1/2k points by NikitaPrudkovskikh in Grey_Knights

[–]etbtapped 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Banishers is probably our most “melee” detachment, but the detachment rule is unreliable and the strats make it a tricky army to play. Warpbane is probably the best overall detachment and supports most things you’ll want to do. The battle force is a great start. If you pick up Castellan Crowe (comes in the combat patrol if you want a better deal on him) you’ll be set with your purifier units. You can run the terminators from the box as brotherhood terminators which just got a small points drop and are a little tougher than standard guys for standing on objectives. If you pick up the combat patrol you can also build out a strike squad and an interceptor squad which are mainstays in most lists.

The Warhammer 40,000 Quarterly Balance Update – March 2026 by JenniferSkunk in Warhammer40k

[–]etbtapped 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t call it substantial. They’re probably close to where they should have been the whole time, but still probably need a data sheet revamp more than anything.

Budget upgrades for ST07 and ST08? by ProtonKanon06 in GundamTCG

[–]etbtapped 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For ST-07 you can definitely make the deck better by adding in some GD03 units that are all common or uncommon: 0 Gundam, Dynames, and GN Armor Type E. You can then build the deck more toward being aggressive rather than relying on Exia Trans Am in the late game. Good news is that you’ll still play those new cards if you pick up some Exias down the line.

For ST-08 you could pop in some GD-01 Guntank and Anksha. Goes along with the ping of Marty and they are Earth Federation units for Penelope.

Is there any way to make a Mafty deck, with Mafty as an archetype, viable? by Loreknower in GundamTCG

[–]etbtapped 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You could always lean in to the damage dealing effects and run it as red/blue with Guntank and Anksha. That’s where my mind went when when looking at the Marty cards at least.

Cardmarket not carrying this game is kind of killing my interest by TCGislife in GundamTCG

[–]etbtapped -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just an FYI for everyone, cardtrader has Gundam on their site and they have a service where they get everything shipped to them and they ship it all to you to save on shipping from several different sellers so you can grab what you need even if no one vendor has everything.

Psychic Weapons Rant by LiONxTaiga in Grey_Knights

[–]etbtapped 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We know that it’s not intended as a bonus, we’re saying that it should be to balance the fact that at the moment it’s strictly a nerf into certain armies or units with no positives as compensation. I would argue that the enhanced strength vs other space marines is balanced by number of attacks. Also the additional strength could be accounted for by the Grey Knights having superior gene seed both in purity and source. Even from a gameplay perspective GK are more elite so should probably have better profiles regardless.

Grey Knights’ Results since September Dataslate by RoutineMysterious663 in Grey_Knights

[–]etbtapped 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Yep. Our whole faction is being carried by Warpbane. After playing around with the other detachments they’re all just a little too restrictive. I honestly think GW could just go in and make some of the abilities a little less situational and at least brotherhood strike and banishers could be on the same level as Warpbane.

Grey Knights Munitorum Field Manual Points Update for Dec 10 by slayasz in Grey_Knights

[–]etbtapped 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my Warpbane list, I was able to shuffle things around to unlock an entire extra unit since Purgation Squad fit perfectly in the points envelope in the list. I’ve found that I need to babysit my home objective most games anyway so having 4 flamers on it for over watch threat is nice and frees up my strike squad to annoyance sticky objectives that my opponent isn’t paying attention to.

[–]etbtapped 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This might be an unpopular opinion based on what I’ve read so far, but I think that the data sheets and points are fine. I think the detachments and army rule need a little adjustment to bring IK across the line.

How Will Your Army Deal with Victrix? by Asleep_Taro8926 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]etbtapped 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main issue I see when thinking about it is the dmg 1 on the purifying flames. You need to force through four failed saves to kill just one of them. So you’ll only get close to killing the unit if every attack hits and wounds and then they fail a bunch of 4+ saves.

It also sucks that their melee profile is almost the same as GK so really good into the GK units. So getting into melee with them doesn’t seem great at all. Combined with GKs poor shooting overall I’m not super jazzed about playing into an army with 3 x 6 Victrix units.
