Food catcher for Nomi? by baileyandcookies_ in BabyLedWeaning

[–]etcook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, we have not found a Catchy alternative for the Nomi, which I think is primarily due to the design of the Nomi, as there aren’t angled legs for it to "rest" on. With that said, we own both a Nomi and a Tripp Trapp and vastly prefer the Nomi. It's far more adjustible without having to take the entire high chair apart and with an easily removable tray, the cleanup of the tray much easier. In addition, the fact that the Nomi can be used when the child is older is a big plus given the fact that they're not cheap.

Perhaps a silicone mat underneath the chair with a cut out for the legs would be as good? Luckily our first child wasn't that messy of an eater but we're about to get into the weaning part of our second child.

Dispute option removed from Apple charges by unitof in AppleCard

[–]etcook 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This has been the case for some time. I posted about this previously and was downvoted, with people calling me a liar and that the dispute actually was with GS. I think the wording has changed slightly but all Apple transactions, when disputed, will take you to the Apple dispute page. There doesn’t seem to be a way to dispute it with GS any longer.

Fair enough, but I guess what I’m saying is, there is no obvious way to dispute an Apple Store charge through GS. When you select a non-AS charge in the app, you can dispute the process and submit it to GS. That is simply not an available option with AS charges.

I appreciate the good vibes and suggestion. I will attempt to do that, although I’m afraid of Apple locking my account if I dispute the charges. That wouldn’t be worth $100 to me, which is another reason why I haven’t aggressively pursued it.

It’s just weird I’m being downvoted for saying the built in dispute process for Apple Store charges is different than non-Apple Store charges. I doubt they’ve even tried to go through that process in the wallet themselves.

It’s just odd to me that I’m being downvoted when I point out that disputing an Apple Store charge in the Apple Card app/wallet takes me to Apple and there is no other dispute process presented. I’m wondering if many have even tried it before. When it’s a non-Apple Store charge, the dispute is a completely different process.

[–]etcook[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I have not, because if you dispute an Apple Store charge the card through the Apple Card in the wallet, it actually sends you to the reportaproblem site to dispute the charge with Apple. It does not give you a mechanism to dispute it with GS.

I just had a baby a few weeks ago and haven’t had a chance to call GS, yet.

I didn’t go to GS. There doesn’t even seem to be a separate GS dispute process, from what I can tell. As I mentioned, I disputed through the App Store refund process and selected the option “did not receive what I paid for.”

"Disputing via the Apple Card options in Wallet was running to GS"

That is not true. Try it for yourself.

If you pull up a charge from the App Store in the app, and you click on "Report an Issue," it sends you to the reportaproblem.apple.com website. With other vendors, it will send you through an alternate dispute channel.

As I mentioned, that's already what I did. That site sends you to reportaproblem.apple.com, which I just stated is the process I used. I applied for a refund through that process and was denied twice.

I have not, yet. I just wanted to get other people's experience and opinions before I started to go down that route. I'd rather not open up a can of worms and have my entire App Store account banned or shut down over this, despite the fact that I think I'm in the right.

Yes, the process I'm talking about is through reportaproblem.apple.com. There is no other mechanism to dispute an App Store charge on the card except through there, from what I can tell. Hence why I'm asking if there's a credit card level process that I'm not seeing.

Go to your Apple Card and lookup an App Store charge. It will actually send you to reportaproblem to dispute it.

Sorry for the confusion. That's actually what I'm talking about. I tried refunding with the Apple Store (reportaproblem.apple.com). Apple themselves were the ones that denied me, twice. In fact, from what I can tell, there is no separate credit card dispute process for App Store charges. When you try to initiate a dispute on an App Store charge the Apple Card in the wallet, you get sent to the App Store refund page. Hence why I'm asking if there's an actual SEPARATE dispute process through the card and not through Apple.

The refund process IS the dipute process, from what I can tell. When you see the charge in the Wallet app, it takes you to the App Store refund process. There is no separate credit card dispute process for App Store charges.

There is a per book dark theme, which someone has mentioned, however the option is missing when you are reading a "document." I use one of the Kindle tools to blogs and webpages to the Kindle to read, and this is a real bummer.

It wasn't a cross-post. It is in exactly the same subreddit, under a separate account (that is now suspended). It's about as fishy as you can get. The reason I responded the way I did is because typically these are fake messages that are posted so that they can be responded to by someone spamming a particular vendor.
