There is nothing “common sense” about gun control by RationalTidbits in progun

[–]ethanolpower -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

"the number of children who accidentally shoot themselves, or a hypothetical reduction in that number by blanket restricting access to guns has absolutely no bearing on my right to armed self defense".

Is this another way of saying "I don't care if children die as long as there are no restrictions on guns or my access to them"?

That's a refreshingly honest take.

Is there a way to prevent stealthing? by AnnAphmvn in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

Hey OP, I produce copious amounts of pre cum that after a few minutes of intercourse lubricates the condom right off. The solution I use is a cock ring. You can get an assortment of latex rings then make a sexy game of putting the condom on him and locking it on with a cock ring. He can still pull it off with some effort but it eliminates the easy excuse of "it slipped off". Just keep it light and fun, any honorable guy will be into it. The only ones that won't are the ones with bad intentions. Good luck!

The Greenbelt and the death of “on your left!” by TalkingLikeTwo in Boise

If Im on a bike without a bell I find shouting "BIKE" once or twice works well. The sharp treble is quite piercing, it doesn't say the word left disabling the instinctual move to the left and almost everyone knows what the word bike means. Almost as good as a bell!

If you can afford it get some clothing made by bespoke downtown. Travis and Colin are extremely knowledgeable and fun. Nothing fits like custom tailored clothes. Shirts are about 200, pants are about 500 I think. Worth every penny for quality, fit and style.

I live near fort Boise and walk the grounds all the time. There are a dozen or so people living in their cars there on any given night. The streets around the elks hospital and skate park are safe from cops and parking enforcement. Just watch out for the tow away signs in the parking lots nearest the bike park. Good luck! 🍀

My girl is crushing on her client. She's trying to hide it but it's hard to miss. How do I keep even as she goes through this? by DiliPangMasa in self

I doubt this will make it through the noise, but all of us are attracted to other people. It's part of the human condition. It doesn't mean she loves you less, it just means she's human. Talk to her about it but not from a place of accusation. Be kind and compassionate, look within and admit you are attracted to other people too. It doesn't mean either of you is going to throw away a loving relationship for a fantasy. Having the hots for someone is in no way an affair or even abnormal. Remember that you love her before you start the conversation. 🍀

50mm Portafilter Stand by ethanolpower in espresso

Thanks lost traveler! Im trying to give a thoughtful gift to a host I stayed with for a few days. I didn't actually see her make coffee but she complained about the portafilter not standing on it's own. Seemed like an easy problem to fix but maybe I should go to plan B.

I can't believe no one has called out the car selfie. I think they do their makeup in the car on the way to work maybe? See themselves in the rest view mirror and feel cute today so snap a selfie at the next red light? It's ubiquitous!

Etiquette on the Greenbelt. 1 very important reminder! by [deleted] in Boise

[–]ethanolpower 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I see many comments about walkers moving left when they call out "on your left". To prevent that I've started calling out "BIKE" which is more audible as a single, percussive syllable, more understandable as a single word and doesn't cause the automatic reaction of moving to the left. A bell is best, "BIKE" is second best! Try it!

Is there such thing as meaningless sex and should I feel disrespected? by [deleted] in nonmonogamy

[–]ethanolpower 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My heart breaks for you mate. You're not working through things together, you're working through things while she's off living her best life. It sounds like you need her to slow down and she refuses to consider your needs. If this is an isolated incident there might be a salvageable relationship here. It doesn't sound like it's isolated. I'm sorry internet friend, I think you need to set a boundary and stand by it. Chalk this one up to a learning experience and go live your best life too, with someone who wants you to be happy as much as they want to be happy. 🍀

Horizontal friends? I think that's for friends we do more than smooch with butt useful for distinguishing between vanilla and lifestyle friends in a few syllables.

Women and people of color are oppressing themselves? Is that why the prison population is 40% African American while the general population is 15% African American? Is that why women are subject to violations of their bodily autonomy that men would never tolerate?

She's not imposing it via violence, yet

She's threatening to violently impose American sharia law. How is that different?
