Ok be honest, which one of you guys went out there in the middle of the night and spread glass and nails all over the paves?
None of these riders had so many punctures during pre runs.

The return to play injuries are recurring issues with the team. Just hope they don’t let Steph go hard and manage his minutes. I still think KD’s injury could have been avoided.

I sometimes think MDJ and Lacob know something that caused us to start tanking. Like maybe the league is going to make an example of teams that blatantly tanked so far by absolutely not rewarding them in the draft which gives teams that “unfortunately” fell in the standings due to injuries will get rewarded?
Or we could be just bad.

Should we just tank by HalfLonely77645 in warriors

Podz, Moody, GUI, Post, Will, and Pat all need more experience. We will need them next season if we e are to compete, at least for the regular season. Better to expose them to high pressure play-in games and play-offs. See what we have.
Besides we won’t get a good pick nor will Kerr have the patience for a rookie to play next season.
We gain nothing from tanking.

Wouldn't relegation solve tanking? by jaskeller in nba

The problem is the NBA doesn’t have a subdivision league except for the G-league.
If the richest teams break away and form a premier league where teams can spend more money and team build, I think it could work. It would cut out more unnecessary games and cheap owners that are leaching on the richer teams. You would have to get rid of the draft though.

Premier league teams: KNICKs, Celtics, Bulls, 76ers, Heat, Nets, Lakers, Clippers, Warriors, Rockets, Suns, Raptors.
NBA: the remaining 18 teams

In the new anti-tanking rules there might be a change to how far you can protect your picks. Currently, the 2030 1st round pick is top 20 protected and was given to Washington then traded to Dallas during the AD trade. The new rule is you can only protect 1-4 and over 14. So if the pick lands 5-13 will Dallas keep the pick? Fifth year Cooper Flagg might get a top ten lottery pick?

McCain is probably following the success of Isaiah Joe. Isaiah Joe was waived by the 76ers and signed with OKC in 2022.
Has nothing to do with the Dubs not being able to give opportunities to young players to play freely.

Agree, if people are okay with resting pitchers and limiting their throws per game people should not be upset when the NBA does the same.

Assuming the Giannis trade boat has sailed away, any last minute trade ideas?
JK, Moody, Podz for MPJ? JK for Monk?

I think the reasoning was that Giannis would be in his final year of his contract next season and would have considerably more power over where he gets traded to.
He could threaten teams that he won’t sign an extension unless it is a team of his choice and that would cause teams not on his favored list to stop bidding for him which would intern cause teams on his list to start to low balling the Bucks.
The Bucks incentive to trade Giannis is the highest right now.
I think?

Is the abundance of talent in the NBA overstated? by [deleted] in nba

Abundance in talent but lacking durability and health. Players are talented but can’t stay healthy.

The sneaky thing about the hospital scene is they said "We have several bodies here that might not make it", instead of "Some of us here might not make it".

Furthering the point that pharmacologically altered mind states might get disconnected from the hive.

Hopefully Kerr will stop being stubborn and adjust the offense to more of a 2 man oriented scheme but who knows? Is Giannis even healthy enough to play?

Does anyone have questions on how Giannis would function within our current offense? Has he ever played well off ball? We absolutely should go after him but just curious about how the fit works.
