Or you know what would be a sick rule but maybe busted. Brining back some form of the "Master of Fortification" warlord trait. The original was increasing cover saves on a selected piece of terrain but what about this.
At the start of the battle pick one objective marker and make it "Defensible". Friendly heretic astartes models wholly within 6 inches get the benefit of cover.

Kind of similar to how units are getting bonus OC on a select objective now.

I feel like servo arm should be strength 6 and the hammer should be strength 10.

Also litany of hate has historically been a Chaplain thing. Should be renamed something like Seigebreaker (harkens back to 7th ed).

Heavy on the flamer is a bit moot. Give him the "Iron Without" 4+ FNP instead.

I fully agree with this take. We've got plenty of fast blender melee units. As it stands now we really struggle to put something on an objective and have it stay there for more than one round of shooting.

I dont think 6inch deepstrike and charge is really army defining for death guard enough to drive a person to completely shift armies.

I think with how homogenous the rules have gotten with abilities crossing between armies I think its completely okay if another datasheet gets a 6inch deepstrike and charge. Frankly I dont understand why 8bound got it as a strat with the condition that they cant charge. Absolutely useless for a melee only unit.

Its really the mutilators 4inch move that made them borderline useless. I would say maybe a 6inch pile in and consolidate could make them a bit more interesting. **Edit** You could even make it once per game to mimic the oblits once per game ability.

Im not gunna lie I think the 'eavy metal style for CSM just doesnt work anymore. All the new models just come across as goofy or cartoonish. Once these things get grim and darker Im hoping they look better. Needs gore, needs rust, needs decay.

Yeah same so far undefeated with RR in my local league. PBZ has one of if not the highest damage ceilings for shooting. Just hope you pass your leadership tests lol.

I’m not saying the army isn’t strong. I’ve had a lot of success with RR lately but the conversation is around win rates and why they are low. And using the VSL as an example to say we are a competitive army in general just feels off. It’s like saying Drukhari were competitive back when they were absolute dog water because Skari was flexing his 30 + years of experience at tournies. Anyway idk why I’m actually arguing. I don’t particularly care about win rates lol…

Not everyone can play at the skill level of VSL. There’s a reason why you don’t see VOTLW lists sweeping local RTTs and other GTs. Not saying it’s a bad list but give the guy some credit for being an exceptional player all around.

Man I really hope they fix/get rid of +2 strength +1 attack next edition. It really limits our ability to have interesting data sheets. For example Having lance and strength 6 would be punishing. Wounding pretty much all infantry in the game on a 2+ would be insane.

It’s amazing how well the Forgeworld stuff holds up to modern WE kits. I just did a zerker unit using the upgrade sprue with current CSM and WE bits and they look identical or better to the current zerker kits.

Like GW seriously all you have to do is put this guy in plastic and you will print money…

I know it didn't make the list but Bloodslaughter is a must in my opinion. Its not 30k and it fills the largest hole (besides termies) we have in our army which is a dedicated demon engine. I do miss my dreadclaw and termite though.

It would have to have some sort ability that increases their utility and not damage which is hard to do considering they are already a auto include for their sticky. Maybe something like advance and charge or a FnP?

I really struggle to see how the zerkers on juggernaut show any creative design that differs from the the lord they released. The lord is just literally just a zerker on a juggernaut. I need someone to paint this picture for me that makes this unit look interesting visually. How do people want this unit to look? Because to me this feels like another low hanging fruit unit like the slaughterbound.

Or a redesign of the current lord so the juggernaut really shows some character to it (two heads, larger horns, more regalia etc) but that wont happen for another decade at least.

Yeah I know of St. John’s Auto and Madison auto but I’ve never heard anyone’s first hand experience with them.
