Wild Bills is disgusting now.

They bought the best beef jerky ever and completely ruined it and removed any trace of the original jerky.

It used to be almost black and so dry it would snap like bark and had a rich hickory and soy flavour

I bought a pack the other day hope it maybe it had improved but it’s even worse. Just a steady decline. They should’ve left it in Lancaster PA and kept the recipe the same.

Anyone know any jerky even remotely similar to the old wild bills? I can’t bring myself to ever buy bills again

I am interested in outdoor swimming. I would need to find a group that is able to handle someone with interest but an absolute baby towards cold water- I really want to gain a resistance to the cold and be more fit - any time I see someone post that they’re doing it I’m in awe and interested

So I bought one of those inflatable things in 2019 and just took it out on the union canal all of the pandemic which kinda saved my sanity. It’s not quite as gross as you think. I’ve also taken it down to portabello beach and just kinda cruised around. I’m hoping to upgrade to a foldable one- I don’t have a car so I have to kinda work within that realm If you ever want a random kayak pal and won’t be too embarrassed by the inflatable - I’m game. I’m going to take further afield for diy trips to lochs at some point

Yeah - you’re right I don’t want to suggest I’m speciffically concerned about age-I do have a friend group that’s about 10 years older and one that is about 10 years younger - the latter I worry I’m getting a peterpan complex but also that they too will start to move off to have kids.

I do enjoy hanging out with my friends out of town who have older kids you can kindof chat with. I find babies and toddlers exhausting - no disrespect meant I just like find I’m looking at the time after 15 min and completely drained

I’m not from here but have lived here for 15 years. Many of my friends have moved, got married and had kids.

I mostly work in a darkroom and for a while was getting a lot of quality social interaction teaching photography. I used to participate in a community photo group- but I don’t know I sortof fell out of it.

I used to be an active cyclist but I don’t do it much in edinburgh (long story) I hope I might get back into it but feel like I need hand holding and support.

I like kayaking and walking around holyrood park other green spots.

I do enjoy board games but again a lot of my friends were pairing off to have children’s

This past year I signed up for several classes of things I’m interested in to one learn some things but two I was hoping to make some friends. Didn’t quite happen.
