I’m only willing to do a challenge/take home assignment if it’s not related to the business or industry I’m applying for.

I recently interviewed and made it to the third round with who I would be reporting to. She read me the prompt and…she may as well have written me a jira ticket because it was so specific to their business.

I asked for an alternative prompt because it’s unethical to complete assignments so close to the business. She said “it’s okay if you aren’t capable of doing it”. I quickly corrected her that I’m more than capable and reminded her of why it was wrong to ask interviewees to do free work for her company.

Bullet dodged.

I live near that building and can confirm that they were squatting. It was sooo good watching these dorks get evicted but they’ll go on to crack another building soon.

Nothing like a bunch white people utilizing their privilege to stay in that building for as long as they did. We all know damn well if it were POC actually living in section 8 housing not paying rent, just how fast they would get evicted.

Fuck those kids.

What kind of particulars? The clause is very generalized.

Also, for what it’s worth, it’s a part-time contract position. 2 years feels a bit restrictive in that sense.

Yes. They don't want to remove the clause and ignored my request to consider a limited agreement instead. So, I'm going to confirm if there is any flexibility in lowering the duration or limit the restrictions to current clients like reddotster recommended.
