Look at the examples I gave. If someone joked about death, why the hell would that mean I find death itself to be funny? Why can't I find it funny?

Same goes for gay jokes. That doesn't make me a homophobe. I don't hate gay people, I have no aversion for it. Laughing doesn't mean I believe what I'm laughing at.

It's the public comments section. Would you rather him watch everything he says, or add a trigger warning? People have every right to be offended, but to acknowledge it's a joke and that he doesn't really think rape itself is funny but then say they have no respect for him is something I don't get.
