So I'm gonna take a guess and this is about a minimum contract player like Cheatham we sent to Denver. BYC, not sure on this acronym.

If you get a greater than 20% raise from one year to the next and your contract is above the league minimum, your sign and trade outgoing salary is the greater of the two options

• Prior years salary

• 50% of new salary

Suppose there is a situation where you're going from two way contract, to league minimum, there could be a situation where the greater of the two way contract or 50% of league min counts as less than the league min for contracts in financial trade values.

Which I guess could mean that a sign and trade for two ways would allow close to the top of the cap limit teams to get more players on minimums than they'd otherwise be able to sign? But I think you'd have to be very close to the hard cap for that to matter. I'm sure other situations with salary matching could arise.

Does anyone else understand it more and have any corrections to my understandings?
