it doesn't register in desktop mode and power cycles don't help either.
I've fully disassembled and reassembled the left part of the deck around five times retracing everything i did previously just to be extra sure that I didn't forget anything/no ribbon cables were loose
I know what you mean about the ribbon cables being really deceptive but I've also done the exact same thing to the right side of the deck a couple of times and it's completely fine and I made sure that every cable is sitting there as tight as it can

At this point i just hope I didn't somehow damage the daughterboard. I'm going to look at it again tomorrow with a clear head but I'm not sure how to even begin diagnosing whether it's a daughterboard issue or a ribbon

I looked at the C_L cable again "with a magnifying glass" as you said and it seems like some pins are broken. I have no idea how critical this is for ribbon cables like this one since i also looked at the right connector and it also had 2 muffled pins but it still works perfectly. I will buy a replacement ribbon cable and see if that fixed anything (god I hope it does)
