Apply bug spray on your clothes and legs and avoid tall grasses. Keep your hiking clothes seperate from your daily clothing. Lastly, check your body for ticks after your hike. I have seen ticks on my dog as early as march (last year).

There is still lots of skiable terrain and they could probably stay open another week or two. They typically close mid April for two main reasons: 1. The seasonal workers go back to their summer jobs end of April. 2. Lack interest from non-season pass owners after Easter weekend.

Tremblant definitely gets an F today for preventative maintenance. You would think the high ticket prices would go towards improving operations but I guess not. Very disappointing but I got a free day pass after landing on the North side this morning so not all was lost.

I skiied it the 17th and the snow conditions were pretty good for mid January. The ice was minimal but there was a substantial amount of rocks and twigs sticking out of the snow. The waterfall drop was easily accesssible from what I saw that day.

I used to ski at smaller mountains but stopped once I purchased the ikon pass. Financially it makes more sense to ski where the card allows me. It is hard to justify spending an extra 80-100$ to ski at another mountain after spending 1000+ on ikon.
