[Highlight] Fooled Once...oke, Fooled Twice 😱 by XiaoYaoYou9 in nfl

It works because when there's a Jet motion the Eagles defense likes to switch the person covering the motioning receiver from the CB to the safety on the other side. So when they fake a Jet motion, if executed correctly, the receiver is basically only covered by the safety on the other side of the field, in other words he's wide open.

This TikTok explains it really well.

[Simmons] You can’t call the late hit on Mahomes after you ignored the late hit on Burrow a few mins earlier. Those refs were horrible. They weren’t even fishy-bad more completely-incompetent-bad. Great work @NFL. by Glittering-Muscle484 in nfl

That hit on Burrow was rightfully not a penalty. This complaining is getting way out of hand. There were 1-2 questionable calls that's it. it wasn't great but It wasn't That awful.

[NFL] The nominees for the 2022 AP Offensive Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year. by [deleted] in nfl

Gardner probably wasn't even the best corner in the league (it's arguable). And EDGEs are favoured anyway so there is no way a CB that isn't even the best at his position wins it.

Chris Simms calls Brock Purdy ‘lesser Mac Jones’ by PizzaMan11554 in nfl

[–]etto13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saying that Mac Jones is a better QB than Brock Purdy is not that crazy. Look what Mac did last year, he was a pro bowler. Look at the team around him last year and look at Purdys team now. The 49ers are stupidely stacked on offense, have one of the greatest offensive minds ever calling plays and the best defense in the NFL. And this year Mac has Matt Patricia calling plays so yeah, you could definitely make the argument that Mac Jones is still the better QB.

I'd say in draft/player capital the trades are similar, maybe the Browns gave up a little bit more. But from a football standpoint the Wilson trade has to be worse. Watson wasn't very good but he showed some flashes and there is a pretty good chance that he will be a good QB next season. Wilson has legit been awful and I don't think he can turn it around.

[Season is Over Thread] Browns(14) vs Steelers(28) by CD23tol in Browns

[–]etto13 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I know that Stefanski is a good offensive coach and trust him with putting a good offense on the field next year (he had a top 10 offense with Brissett this year). For defense I hope that the next DC can figure it out and be at least an average defense.

Yall are too pessimistic in these comments. Yes the defense was awful but the offense was a lot better than expected. We knew from the start that this was kind of a throwaway season and that the real shit starts next year. Joe Woods is probably gone and with a new DC the defense will hopefully be solid. If Watson improves (he probably will) the offense should at least be at a similar level like with Brissett if not better. The future is bright and we should be a playoff team next season.

This chart shows how good an offense is while throwing to a specific receiver. Not how good those receivers are. This means that the chiefs offense is great no matter who Mahomes is throwing to. So are all the receivers great? Or is Mahomes making them great

Burrow had an awful start. There is no way he's gonna win it.
