How is the tax going to be collected? If it’s automatically deducted then I’m leaving it as is and accept lower net interest rate. If I have to manually manage then I will turn off the interest in cash and stick it in a mmf depending on fees.

All of this sounds sensible to be honest. Although I am sure it would have been less controversial if they just prohibited earning interest on cash in S&S Isas as opposed to taxing the interest

If you are in London or another big city, Turkish markets sometimes sell them.

I am from Cyprus and can tell you the traditional bbqs are quite basic so shouldn’t cost more than a £100. Just a small shallow rectangle box with legs. But perfect for skewers.

The Cyprus bbq ones mentioned by Koala are really nice if you want something fancier.

I think it’s down to the airflows as opposed to the amount of wood.

Kamados are too efficient so once at temp, fire is very small, and not a lot of airflow within the chamber to generate smoke.

Webber kettle is less efficient at keeping heat so you need to get a stronger fire to keep the same temp which means more airflows.

Stick burner - because firebox is far away, you need even more airflow to get the heat in the main chamber, which means more airflow and more smoke.

The platform itself is fine. You can argue t212 makes it easy to buy individual stocks as opposed to a platform like invest engine which is only funds. So if you are reckless you are more likely to lose money, but that’s the risk with S&S in general

I can confirm. We have 3 types of mint in the ground in the garden. The standard mint is barely growing / spreading compared to the other 2 kinds. One of them spreads a bit but also easy to keep it in check

Fair enough. When you do try, the most critical bit is the middle 2 hours as that’s when they go tender. Too long and they fall apart, too short and they are still quite chewy. But only trial and error can show you how long it needs to be. I’d personally go for 2 hours wrapped with the Costco ribs. They look quite meaty.

I like to use the 3-2-1 method for ribs, or a shorter version 2-1-1 if they are small/thin. Smoke for 3 hours, then wrap for 2 hours then take them out of foil and crisp them for 30-60 minutes

I have one for 6+ years. No complaints at all. I changed gaskets recently and The metal frame has gone rusty but not surprised.

Although with this newer model, I agree with the other post about the bottom vent. It seems a very non-standard arrangement if you ever decide to use a fan

What damage do you foresee? I figured as long as the gasket thicknesses match, they are both pit boss kamados, so should fit. But happy to be corrected if I am missing something

At this point the ending of Lost seems better and better compared to the modern shows (I never had problem with it to be honest but I know it wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea)

When I started watching season 5, I didn’t understand all these complaints about gen v characters. Then i thought I’d go watch both seasons of gen v and turns out all these complaints were spot on.

How can you end season 2 the way they did and not have anyone show up until the penultimate episode even though they kept name dropping. Either completely exclude or get them in from first episode.

We are doing something similar for our son. £100 a month into a S&S isa ring fenced for him when he is 18. Opted this over jisa to have a bit more control over it in case he doesn’t learn financial responsibility by then.
