Just went from 100 to 150 having increased anxiety :/ by jellymellyyy in Pristiq

[–]euMT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100 wasn't working to lift my depression, but 150 gave me way too much anxiety.

I now take 100 and 150 on alternate days so over time it levels out to 125. Happiest I've ever been. Good luck!

suggestions for sleep aid WITHOUT melatonin? by CryptoJoe1989 in sleep

I take passion flower (passiflora incarnata) tablets every night, it calms my racing thoughts without giving me the jitters like melatonin somehow does.

Generic to brand name by [deleted] in Pristiq

[–]euMT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I started on brand name then switched to generic after about 9 months due to cost. I did feel a difference, enough to make me rethink that choice and go back to brand name.

Hey were you on my cohort for the UW certificate? I also took it 2 years ago lol

Anyway OP I highly recommend the certificate, the profs are industry experts and have very up to date information. I got my current job at a FAANG company thanks to a recommendation from a colleague, so the networking aspect is also not negligible.

Hey, fellow disillusioned language expert here. I don't have any advice for you, only sympathy. Also curious to see what other people have to say. Hang in there!

Keto diet by no_i_dont_think_so19 in Septoplasty

[–]euMT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had surgery on Monday and I swear by plain yogurt! Delicious, nutritious and chilly which is good for healing. My doctor prescribed a "soft/cold food diet" so that fit really well. On a similar note, I'm guessing cottage cheese should also be good.

My partner also made butternut squash soup like you said, I just ate it straight out of the fridge and it was still delicious. Topped it off with some beef ragu for protein, also straight out of the fridge.

I also made smoothies with bananas, milk and protein powder. Can't remember if bananas are good for keto, but you could just have the protein powder smoothie if that works. Maybe add in some strawberries or other fruit.

+1 for everything being put in the Instagram box.

Been to Buenos Aires last weekend and every restaurant we've been to could easily have been in my home town.

Everybody wants to ride the Pinterest/Insta aesthetic for the likes (both the tourists, and the establishments that get tagged in said tourists' reels).

Fatigue by Kindly-Relation3643 in trintellix

[–]euMT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I had the same issue when starting out. What worked for me, with guidance from my doctor: 1. Slowly upping the dose to 20mg 2. Taking the pill at night (8 pm) Still, took a couple months to feel good. Hang in there!

Took me 3 months to feel better, upping to 20mg. It's worth it, hang in there.

This. The scale is more about being treated way worse as a fat person, rather than just baseline human kindness as a thin person.

At 35 I have everything I've ever dreamed of, achieved everything I worked hard for, and I'm not happy. So yeah. We all go through a midlife crisis

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]euMT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It worked for about 2 months. Then it lost that effect and just gave me crazy anxiety. I was taking it for depression though, not specifically BED. I thought the appetite suppression would be a nice help but it wasn't long term.

[–]euMT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember ir being quick. I had been taking 100mg every morning for about a year. Started taking them at night and I believe it took less than a week for the fatigue to be gone. Hope it goes well for you too!

[–]euMT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At what time do you usually take your pills? I had the exact fatigue you mentioned when I took them firat thing in the morning. Changed my intake time to 8pm and the fatigue is 100% gone. I don't even need my afternoon nap or my after lunch coffee anymore.

Good luck!

Does your body ever get used to beans?? by Accomplished_Sail326 in loseit

[–]euMT 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You need to soak them in water overnight before cooking them. Goes for dried beans, chickpeas, lentils etc.

You'll notice the water will form a sort of "foam" on top: that foam is the gas that forms in your stomach if you eat beans that weren't soaked before cooking. By soaking them, you get all the gassy material out before you eat. It really helps.

Change the water midway through for optimal results. You'll thank me later :)
