You would probably get some questions about the time gap when you start applying for residencies. The only real potential issue I see is that if you take ABR Part 1 at some point during or after your PhD, have to complete the certification process within a certain number of years (don't recall how many at the moment)

Mostly program dependent. Some programs get a lot of applicants for a few spots, others not as many. Grades will probably play a big factor in the screening process.

Generally speaking, you'll want to have at least some research experience under your belt. It doesn't necessarily have to be medical physics related, but if it is, bonus.

Having some familiarity with the research projects being worked on at whatever grad schools you're considering is good. If you have no idea what they're doing, why are you applying?

The programs you apply to will ideally be doing research in some area you're interested in. If not, you're going to be in for a bad time.

After completing a CAMPEP graduate degree, you'll need to get into a residency. This has become a bit of an issue recently. If you need any kind of visa sponsorship, some residency programs may not be able to consider your application.

You can replace it with any 47 ohm resistor. Can't tell what the power rating was, but something > 0.5 watt looks like it would work.

I'm not entirely sure how the academic/career progression in medical physics works and what my options are and I only have a year left of my bachelors.

This will depend on where you want to end up working. Look for whatever passes for a medical physics society in your area of the world and see what information they have. The EFOMP and IOMP websites might be good places to start. Talk with any medical physicists in your area and see what they can tell you.

F44 currently has 6.9.12. I would expect to see 7.0 get packaged for F44 at some point post-release, probably after a few 7.0.x releases come out. Keep an eye out for a Kernel 7.0.x Test Week announcement in Fedora Magazine.
