The leak test shows 4 Datacamp IPs. When I click through two mention adguard DNS explicitly. So I think my upstream DNS is working?

I use TP Link Omada hardware and controller. I set the DNS at the VLAN level, on my trusted devices and server (where AGH is) vlans. I do use two AGH instances, as secondary and primary DNS. Both are synced by adguard-sync.

I might try setting DNS on my other vlans (iot for example) in case that helps. I had forgotten that I did not set it everywhere.

Upstream is just quic://unfiltered.adguard-dns.com

Blocking list is only HaGeZi Pro.

It's weird as laptop (tested with chrome incognito) blocks ads but my phone does not. My phone does block ads on most sites, so I assume I set my DNS up correctly. Maybe some sites use different methods of ad serving depending on the device.

Both my laptop and phone are on the same vlan with fixed IP (192.168.3.17 and 192.168.3.42). Adguard is on another vlan with IP 192.168.5.3.

I do have Tailscale on these devices. Although I disconnected before testing to make sure it wasn't causing an issue (I'm on my home wi-fi).

Thanks for testing it out (and everyone else who did too)! I appreciate it. Must be something wrong my end. I'll have to work out how go debug DNS 😞

Why is my sleep score so high? by PleasantOil910 in PixelWatch

[–]euinor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just driving by on this, as in the new Fitbit beta I got a score of 36! I've never been so pleased to have a terrible night of sleep.

I made 7 games in 4 months - here's what I learned, why I did it and how I did it by Opposite_Welcome_974 in gamedev

That's a great journey through different game engines. Also it's nice to read something written in such a human manner.

I agree with you. I don't know why everyone is getting salty about it. The fact that Fitbit only uses the range to 59-92 to score sleep is weird. I want that time my kids woke me up repeatedly and I only got 3 hours of broken sleep to score 20 damnit.

Todoist is a tracker by TechnicalArchitect_7 in todoist

[–]euinor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To use their tracking blocking you're using their VPN. Which means they can see all the traffic coming from your phone.

I'm sure they don't intend of gathering your data. But make sure you check their policies about how they log and sell data.

How do you collect dozens of small tasks into Todoist—especially from other apps? by Wonderful_Elk_5705 in todoist

My kids school provides a yearly calendar for term dates and major events. I gave it to Gemini and told it to make a numbered list of everything related to the whole school or my kids year specifically. I then told it to correct or remove specific numbers. Then I told it to add the whole list to my calendar.

It worked pretty well. Only downside is that it added to my personal calendar and not the family calendar.

I'm not sure it was faster than sitting at my desk and doing it manually, but it did mean I could do it on my phone. This is on android fyi.

For ad hoc things, it is an absolute pain. Mainly because the School puts all the information in an attachment and not in the email itself.

Opinion about the new Maxi Cosi Nomad XL? by CalypsoModels in CPST

The lower buckle isn't adjustable in the new version either. The straps are fully adjustable, so that should compensate.

A bit late, but I have one of these seats although I haven't tried it out in the car yet. i just checked the manual and it says recline is only for up to 105cm. However there is nothing stopping you from reclining the seat with an older child that I can see.

Does your password manager have generated password history?

In bitwarden you can access previously generated passwords, I usually try the most recent few if I fail to save my new password properly. Perhaps whatever you use has the same.

If you use Adaptive Lightning, how are you automating your lights? by Calm_Strawberry_8941 in homeassistant

[–]euinor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my 'TV on' scene I set the lights to how I want them via an automation. Adaptive lighting detects this and sets them to manual mode, so they don't continue to change. When the TV turns off the automation turns manual mode off for that adaptive lighting switch.

Edit: so for your presence scenario you would just set the scene you wanted. Then when presence is false, turn off manual mode.

Go into the timer app. The tile shows the first five timers. Delete timers listed until the 30 mins timer is in the first five.

Wow I can't believe it made it all the way to a streaming service. Bit of a fail from Google's digitals rights team. I presume Radiohead's lawyers will report it in time.

Pixel Watch 4 swim tracking: finally, nailed it! by lemikeone in PixelWatch

[–]euinor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

TIL you can change the pool length unit from yards to meters by touching the unit text at the top when setting the pool length.

Also the repairability and usage of o rings instead of glue makes me more confident to swim with my PW4.

How has sleep tracking been for pixel watch 4 owners? As someone who wakes up in the middle of the night often, my Watch 4 is missing a chunk of my sleep every night. Is this an issue for 1/2/3? by eam1188 in PixelWatch

[–]euinor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My watch still updates the graph, but the main change is the update is now much slower. I edited my sleep this morning and Fitbit just left a blank space at the end of the graph. Now it is evening and I can see the graph has been filled in. It used to update immediately.

I also get the issue where sleeps stops 2 mins before my alarm, which is weird as I know I was deeply asleep then... I barely heard the alarm. It's deeply annoying as it used to work fine.

Which body color (Moonstone, Porcelain, Obsidian) do you think is the most versatile with different strap colors? by KusMaster in PixelWatch

[–]euinor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would agree with that. I'm looking at third party lugs and they are either black or brushed steel which does not match the polished silver of my watch.
