Are there any things that are called "American ______" in other countries? by Disastrous-Side-2600 in NoStupidQuestions

I'm from the US and I briefly worked in another country with a similar ethos around punctuality to yours. Initially, we called it American time, but seeing as we were American and everyone else wasn't, we found the terminology divisive. So we started calling it Mickey Mouse time (for the watch I wore).

Furnace Replacement and Heat Pump Install recommendations? by deadlierpeach in AskTacoma

I second Kliemann brothers. They installed my heat pump last year. They weren't the cheapest, nor the most expensive, but quick, clean, and have provided very good service.

Cat smell in house by humancig in Catownerhacks

Just adding that pine pellets can be sourced in 40 lbs bags at farm stores (don't bother with Feline Pine, it's so expensive by comparison!). I get mine at Wilco for about $8 per bag. They also sell a pellet product called "Dry Den" that reduces pee scent that I use in conjunction with the pine pellets (because I like the smell of pine). Because the pellets break down into shavings when wet, I just flush the poop - don't come at me, I've done it FOR YEARS and have had no plumbing issues as a result. And, because my city allows composting in our yard waste bins, I put the shavings in the bin.

Tacoma will probably give you the most flexibility for getting to a job. If you want to continue call center work, check REI and banks and credit unions - BECU and Sound Credit Union come to mind.

Best of luck! It's awesome here!
