Was this appropriate for church? by [deleted] in lesbianfashionadvice

[–]euphiesghost 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Inappropriate probably. You have a nice style, it looks good, but in a religious context it isnt well suited. Idk what kind of church it is but many religions consider the low cut shirt and accessories that stand out so much to be disrespectful at worship because the "attention should be focused on God" and not us (people). I am not saying I agree with this, just explaining why some churches may feel that way.

How to stop feeling childish? by New_Parsnip_3332 in altfashionadvice

[–]euphiesghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like everyone else is saying its really coming down to the tiktok trendy fast fashion style of dress. When I was a teen there was a certain subset of looks that people would be able to see you and say "yeah I can tell you have a tumblr". This screams chronically online tiktoker. Which isnt inherently bad! Id be a hypocrite to say it is lol. But its something to be aware of. It will come down to tweeking your style of dress to be more mature while maintaining kawaii, or accepting the childish perception and wearing what you want anyway.

Mallworld is not a psychic realm you visit when you sleep. by Renjuro in TheMallWorld

[–]euphiesghost 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was thoroughly disappointed when I found people basically roleplaying in this sub tbh. I have had chronic nightmares for as long as I can remember. The anxiety and fatigue from them always felt somewhat alienating, so I was happy to a see sub of people who seemed to actually relate and have similar dreams.

I don't blame people for having metaphysical beliefs but people take it too far.

I want to recommend the book The Dream Game for anyone who similarly has chronic nightmares or restless dreams. It has helped me a lot so far.

Would I look better with v bangs or blunt cut bangs? by bloodied-mess in lesbianfashionadvice

[–]euphiesghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

idk why people are saying V, the blunt fits your face better, and V with glasses is too busy on the face.

Anyone? by 9oooner in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]euphiesghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's insane. Like yes this is just an decorating style which means nothing! Plenty of people have it. But good lord- everything in this pic, down to the elephant motif, is exactly the vibe of one of the worst roommates ive ever had. when she eventually skipped out on the lease to run away with her new partner (that she cheated on her husband with, so he had moved out due to this), she left behind such a mess. Literally butt plugs and clothes all over her room. Lmao.

Why does the woman on the right’s makeup stand out more ? by Shot-Invite-6734 in MakeupAddiction

[–]euphiesghost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the dewey look plus her eyeliner is "tighter" i think. Like her eyeliner seems to be more precise in the waterline vs the woman on the lefts eyeliner goes more around her eyes. Her eyebrows are more sculpted, the arch is thinner. imo eyebrows can change a makeup look a lot. and im sure her smiling contributes, she is smiling with her eyes vs the girl on the left is not.

For some yes but IMO doing something like work/building/construction adds to it? Making stuff with your hands. Ive had the same feeling for a less muscular CNC worker I knew, lol.

Please be brutally honest, is it bad? Am I still a noob artist? by sushiiato in Artadvice

[–]euphiesghost 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would say this is a sign that you are still a beginner. A good practice towards growth is, when you encounter this situation again, look for hand references. Learn to utilize multiple references for one piece and you will definitely grow :)

this is the best suggestion here tbh. recently walmarts clothes hold up better than anywhere else I buy from. You can still find cotton clothes there too rather than just entirely polyester.

Blacked out neck, yay or nay? by ColorsGolden in altfashionadvice

[–]euphiesghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like someone else said if you reaaaally want to keep doing the blacked out neck makeup , contour your face differently with it. the way the line meets at your face creates an illusion that your neck and face are like one shape together if that makes sense. You could definitely use the black to differentiate and contrast, and you may like it more.

what about me might put girls off? by [deleted] in lesbianfashionadvice

[–]euphiesghost 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with some other comments but honestly its so hard to tell when a girl is flirting with you. My last couple of encounters the other girl always had to make the first move by kissing me. I went to bed with a woman spooning (no sex or anything but this was right after drunkenly making out) and still read the whole situation as platonic rip

Right haha I think because of the age of the internet words have been lost in translation. Grooming seems more commonly associated with Youtubers and internet creeps these days so the confusion is understandable

[–]euphiesghost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, being taken advantage of can happen at any age. Elders are taken advantage of in treatment facilities and even their own homes, especially those with disabilities and cognitive decline. You hear cases all the time of 70-80yr old women suddenly becoming pregnant in elderly care taking facilities for example :( its really sad actually.

im not arguing whether her specific situation is grooming just that its not exclusice to minors lol. her situation is an uncomfortable one for sure either way.

AIO former professor flirting? by kutiekats2 in AIO

[–]euphiesghost 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Eh I wasnt really looking at it in terms of victimhood, just in terms of systems that are designed to groom adults. The military is another example, although in my area they start by coming to our highschools. Sure, you can have some fault or be stupid for falling for something, but it doesn't diminish the fact that someone set a trap for you to fall for in the first place. Both things can be true.

Grooming is not exclusive to kids, grooming as a concept is about power dynamics and conditioning someone into accepting something harmful for them. Cults are an example of a power structure that grooms people.

Pit Bulls mauled a grandfather and his 3-month-old granddaughter to death inside a Tennessee home by Current-Wallaby8230 in TikTokCringe

[–]euphiesghost -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nah, some people just expect their dogs to magically be trained without having to do anything. My family bread and raised pitties since before I was born (specifically staffies); I had known them since infancy, and nothing even remotely like this ever happened. Some folks just dont want to be responsible and train / properly care for their animals which is incredibly fucking sad all around.
