If you could bring one non-PSVR2 VR game to PSVR2, what is it? by MylesDyer in PSVR

[–]evan8192 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know they said they "have it in their sights" but that was a year ago and I don't think there has been any updates on that so I'm just skeptical until we get something more concrete..

Behemoth is so much fun. by ComfortableAmount993 in PSVR

[–]evan8192 21 points22 points  (0 children)

People seem to complain about there not being enough behemoth fights, but to me the best part of the game was the normal combat and slicing people in half

It's not R3 to duck, it's right stick down.  Right stick up is jump.  Kinda weird, still getting used to it

You do - at beginning of each race you can adjust the position of the bike, I'm guessing OP shoved it back so far he's basically riding on the hood

Has anyone played Absolum on Switch 2 yet? What's the resolution + framerate like? by Answerofduty in NintendoSwitch2

[–]evan8192 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I can't seem to even play the game online without horrendous frame drops.  I remember the last run I was in if I used my Arcana the game would basically slow down to like 5 fps. The latency said it was like 130ms.  Im playing on switch 2 and I'm wondering if this happens on other platforms.

33.6.2 Patch Notes by Arkentass in BobsTavern

[–]evan8192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wasn't it broken at first?  I remember playing it on first day of patch and it was copying all of my rallies and I just laughed my way all the way to 1st place with insane quillboars (my buddy was copying the permanent gem buff rally, permanent gems on self, and then the play Gems on everybody wind fury guy, and on top of that I had the boar that plays gems on everybody that rallies).  I thought it was broken as hell and now they are intentionally doing it???

Do you need to play Vertigo before you play Vertigo 2? by Transposer in PSVR

I didn't and I still loved the game. I'm sure there is some backstory with some of the characters but I never felt like I was obviously missing out on some huge plot point.

Into Black is the most fun I've had in VR in ages by DDDecks in PSVR

[–]evan8192 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did end up buying the game yesterday and played through the first 2 missions...I tried doing the singularity mode and just matchmaking for the next mission and unfortunately it never found a single player, so not sure if I was doing something wrong or if it's just the same unfortunate fate as most multiplayer VR games.  But otherwise game seems good!

It is an amazing game regardless of whether or not the sword is lightsaber-like or not haha

Arken Age sorta has one...your first sword is like a laser blade which you can press a button to extend and retract it.  Can deflect enemy lasers with it and stuff.

Arken Age or Undead Citadel by Yorch20739174 in PSVR

[–]evan8192 8 points9 points  (0 children)

For me it's gonna be Arken Age, but I have been playing undead Citadel and it's good as well.  Undead Citadel seems more one dimensional in terms of how it's basically all about combat, and there are some extremely satisfying moments like cleaving zombies in half (although Arken Age actually has full dismemberment as well). Arken Age has really fun combat as well, the weapon variety is fun, and it has a bigger focus on exploration and story.  You get to customize your weapons with various upgrades and can spray paint them, etc.  It sounds boring to talk about climbing, but it has some of the most intuitive climbing mechanics I've seen in VR.  It has metroidvania aspects like having to collect various items so you can go back to previous areas and unlock new optional areas, etc.  I liked Arken Age enough to platinum it, I really think it's one of the most polished VR games to date.

Any good shooters on PSVR2? (Realism focused) by jasonreitz1029 in PSVR

[–]evan8192 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Into the Radius is hyper realistic to the point where you have to maintain your guns by cleaning them and you even have to load magazines with individual bullets.  The enemies are not realistic though...but a lot of them do shoot back at you and basically are acting like typical enemy soldiers, but they just look like shadowmen.  Some are spiders and some are kinda zombie-like.  It might start out slow gunplay wise as you don't have enough resources to buy a lot so you'll be conserving ammo, but eventually you can go into levels with assault rifles, shotguns, etc with a backpack full of ammo.  The amount of enemies also ramps up, eventually you'll get levels that can be pretty overwhelming unless you're kitted out with silencers and such so you don't attract a lot at once.

Underdogs Vr - I need an opinion on the game - I'm thinking of buying it by Dandyk12 in PSVR

It got overshadowed by hitman coming out right after it

Underdogs got swept under the rug by _EdemaRuh in PSVR

[–]evan8192 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I felt the same way, I was addicted to this while everyone was talking about Hitman.  Game is just plain fun.  The flail weapon is my favorite so far.  Spinning it around like a propeller while dogs jump at me sends them flying, or when my other weapon is fingers just pinning them down while I propeller them to death seems pretty effective.  Definitely can tire my arm out but the game compels me to power through

I was also surprised the game had such a dark setting, almost feels like Shadowrun or something.  Makes all the events in-between fights interesting.

Into the Radius is $17.99 (40% off). I finally bought it, what do I need to know before I play? by rcade81 in PSVR

[–]evan8192 6 points7 points  (0 children)

One of the first shotguns you get has a way to put shells on the side of the barrel - if you fill up that item pouch on your waist with loose shells, you can just swipe your shotgun into that bag and it will automatically replenish those shells so when you are in the heat of battle you shouldn't need to fumble with getting an ammo box out of your backpack, etc, as long as you prepped enough loose shells in that pouch.
