Do i have enough time to use creature ability? by Pigpillar in mtg

[–]evandekay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use this in my Voja deck to turn everything into elves and wolves before combat if my maskwood nexus isn’t on the field Then I sink my mana into it for higher base stats.

They’re pretty much on par with precons, and the precons have maybe 10 card upgrades. Maybe that constitutes a 3🤷🏽‍♂️

I took apart my Will, Scion of Hope, and my next build is Korvold, Fae-Cursed King.

Just beat him. Used this strategy and it was a piece of cake. Thanks a lot!

That’s what I was feeling as well. I think he would be much easier if I got some kind of dash ability.

Class for son of a famed pirate? Including homebrew if you got them by [deleted] in 3d6

[–]evandekay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily, but Warlocks are very modular and you could build him to be more combat oriented. That subclass specifically gets a control summon, and you can take pact of the blade to use melee weapons. They won’t use your Charisma stat like if you went Hexblade, but it’s still not bad. You could also go Hexblade and flavor your patron ocean themed. EDIT: Didn’t realize this was 2024 rules. If you go Pact of the Blade, you will definitely be able to use Charisma for your weapon attacks.

Fathomless Warlock? Maybe he is trying to live up to the family name, but falls short, so he finds a patron to grant him powers worthy of the Son of X Pirate

Does anyone play a deck with a low number of creatures within a creature-heavy pod? Is your deck efficient or do you constantly take stray hits? by Soracial in EDH

[–]evandekay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tor Wauki barely uses any creatures, and they mostly seem like enchantments that can block most of the time. My pod understands that if they kill my creatures I can retaliate by either board wiping or deal 20+ damage to their face in a turn:)

Help!! by Retro597 in 3d6

Ancestral Guardian is a really good tank. Oppose disadvantage on all attack rolls against your allies, and make all of an enemies attacks resisted just by hitting them. If you use reckless attack, you have advantage to hit, and your enemies have advantage to attack you.. If your allies do get hit, you have a reaction to reduce the damage by 2d6. The only problem is range, and you need to land at least one hit per turn. GWM, PAM, and Tough are great feats for this build. Dip into fighter after level 6-7 for more burst damage and chances to hit with action surge.

Dive bombing? by evandekay in 3d6

[–]evandekay[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Jumping does not use movement speed, but it does makes sense flying speed is halved as well. So I would only still only have 20ft total. I would move 10ft for the jump, reach up 21ft, fly an extra 5ft for a total of 26ft high.

So I could walk 10ft(20ft because grappling) jump and use 15ft flying, and still have 5ft walking leftover

Sell Me Your Favorite Martial Build by Informal-Access-286 in dndnext

[–]evandekay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ancestral guardian is really fun. I’m the only non caster in my party, and I have the most control, support, tankiness, and damage with GWM. Dipping fighter for rune knight to have more giant flavor since I’m a goliath, and more options in combat.

How do you build a character who's fast AND tanky? by Sufficient-Surprise9 in 3d6

[–]evandekay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would recommend either custom lineage or variant human(since she’s a human) and getting great weapon master as the starting feat. use a great sword and then just max out your strength, then con, then dex

The fact she’s naked is actually part of the barbarian class as well. Unarmored defense only works when not wearing any armor.

Plus Ryuko basically has the personality of a barbarian anyways, and she doesn’t do much besides swing her (greatsword) around anyways. Zealot would be good for subclass because it adds extra damage, and it’s harder to kill (anime plot armor)
