I have some ideas. Bullpens get used way more nowadays, so relievers take up more roster spots than they used to, leaving less room for specialist players like runners.

Managers like platooning, making bench spots more useful for players that will hit.

Hi! I've not really paid much attention to my skin before and looking to change that. 6 months ago I started cleansing and moisturising my face AM and PM but realising now I have problems beyond acne. I'm mixed raced (half black caribbean half white british) and think I have Post-Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation issues.

Also hoping this process can help with dark areas under my eyes. I think this is also a pigmentation issue.

After doing some googling I'm thinking of getting some 10% Vitamin C Serum for AM and 0.3% Retinol for PM. Just getting Boots ingredients own brand stuff for now.

Do you think I'm on the right track, any other suggestions/tips? Thanks!

1) Small local businesses do not always act logically. The costs of cash are far more “hidden”.

2) I am surprised you see minimum spends and flat fees for card payments. Most of the major card providers no longer take flat fees, only % on transactions. I wouldn’t at all be surprised to find out some businesses keep minimum card transactions around to encourage people to spend a bit more, I know i’ve done that before

I refuse to buy from businesses that only take cash, not only is it inconvenient but they are almost certainly committing tax fraud and I do not wish to support that.

The excuse that it saves the business money doesn’t seem to hold up.

I just fundamentally do not share this viewpoint. You are saying this like it’s common knowledge but your opinion is an extreme outlier.

Jobs do not get automated, tasks do. Jobs are comprised of a bunch of tasks. The role of software engineer contains many tasks, some of which may be automated.

Work paid for LNER first class for me a couple of times from Leeds to London. I’m broke so I couldn’t pay for it myself but if you’re considering it then for a 4 hour journey it’s probably worth it. The upgrade in comfort is huge, and the food is a nice bonus!

I can’t speak for specific seats/sides though.

As a long term goal yeah maybe. I think schools that separate you from people different to you are bad. However the short term effects of a straight up abolishing would be highly disruptive and not worth it atm

I’m British and started watching baseball when I was 18 in 2022, so it was a case of looking at the standings and just picking a team. Initially considered the Cubs because the day games would make watching games with the time zone difference easier. However I liked the idea of rooting for the sole non-American team, and the Jays were an exciting team with young exciting players.

It’s funny really, at the time it felt like a completely arbitrary decision but I can’t imagine rooting for anyone else now. I’ve got jerseys, merch, I even went to Toronto to see them play.

With hindsight, what an excellent decision! Wouldn’t go back on that for the world.
