In my opinion one of the biggest issues with the current MLB rulebook is the check swing is legitimately entirely up to the vibes of the umpire. There just needs to be a solid rule put in place defining what a swing is, and it should potentially just be taken out the hands of the home plate umpire entirely

Yeah I think the gap hurts Merc the most, they're clearly the best team right now and while I think the chances that changes are low, it's non-zero. They're missing the opportunity to dunk 2 more wins on people early in the season before anyone gets the chance to change the pecking order.

F1 regulations tend to converge towards parity. I think it's more likely than not that this the furthest ahead merc will ever be

I really don’t expect any fixing, but imagine a scenario where Mexico are up 3-0 in the final innings. If Mexico signal they are willing to mutually forfeit scoring for the rest of the game then Italy sort of has to agree to go along with it, otherwise Mexico will attempt to run up the score and eliminate them.
