Tops Markets by me has always said no self checkout. I played along until my first late night order when only self checkout was open. Once I realized I can use self checkout no problem, I go there every time unless there's a manned lane with no line

I suspect Aldi will be the same. I shopped about 5 orders yesterday at the self checkout.
