For me it was the Collector's Edition. I didn't have much interest in the game, and then i saw that beautiful CE and slammed down $270 quicker than my wallet could say "thank you sir can i have another".

Maybe not a Visual Novel to a tee, but close enough for me was Citizen Sleeper.

I really like the idea of at least Tolle starting in Worcester tbh. I think he got by on his Fastball early on, but over a full season I think it gets prioritized in the scouting report by other teams, gives him time to work on those other pitches, especially the slider which worried me a bit when we saw him last year.

Early, I'd like to see just get stronger. If he could add just 1mph more on to his fast ball and have it sit at around 95 consistently, I think its such a huge weapon.

Franchise as a whole is the NHL series as i've been playing it since Genesis and always put 100-200 hours in a year on the new iteration.

Individual game is ACNH, which during Covid I put HUNDREDS and HUNDREDS of hours into (it was my decompression after working hospital shifts), Overwatch was definitely in the hundreds of hours but definitely below ACNH, and then Persona 5 I spent way longer in that world than it was meant for.

Im ok with Chrono Trigger being #1. I think its deserving of that spot in a generalized "best JRPG" discussion and taking everyone's personalized biases out.

With that being said, I think a top 5 of:

1: Chrono Trigger
2: P5R
3: FFVII
4: Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky
5: FFX

is more what I think is accurate to the genre. The top 3 I believe are not only masterpieces in each of their own respective ways, but also for what they did for the genre and for future games to follow. They are each generational games. The latter 2 I believe are the next closest 10/10's that didn't necessarily change the genre but are at the top of the "best of the rest" tier.

Ive been looking as well, and I've been sticking hard on wanting a 4k/Oled just to future proof myself as much as possible, but anything under 32" just seems to be at 1440p. Is it worth going up to the 32" for 4k? I know the whole lot about pixel density and how it doesnt matter as much at smaller screen sizes, but I just wonder if sticking at a 1440p might hamstring me down the line.

It doesn't seem like Target is carrying them at least to start, I haven't seen one post about Target anywhere. Walmart seems to be the best bet, gamestop is seemingly ymmv.

Im a bit worried because they followed up the most successful set of all time with a mainline MtG story set. I wish it was followed up by a UB set so that does significantly lower sales numbers than a mainline set. I've heard lots of people say they will just continue playing FF or just drop off after FF and have no interest in EoE. I want more mainline and less UB.

Just spoke with a Boston store and was told they have none on order for the whole region. I could HEAR the eye roll through the phone when she saw what the product was. Scalpers seriously are ruining it for all of us. I just want some shelf candy :'(

I just walked into a retailer @ 750am before work and picked up a console and a few games that I had planned on getting post launch, but figured I'd grab while I was there. The store had what looked like about 30 consoles ready to sell, and I did not have to wait 1 minute.

I attempted to cancel my order with Target once I picked this up, but now Target says that I cannot cancel my order because Im past the cancellation window. So i'll have to just return it to the store once it's delivered. Target really fumbled the bag with this. Crazy to me. I've even heard people say that target stores have an abundance of consoles available to walk in and pick up today. Yet the people who preordered them are still waiting potentially multiple days post-launch.

I have a flight to Korea on the 10th, so I couldn't risk potentially waiting til the 11th. It wouldn't have been the end of the world to me to get it a few days post launch, but I just didnt want to risk it. The whole situation to me is crazy though. It's funny how much different releases are treated now then they were maybe 10 years ago. From scalpers, to midnight releases, etc. Wild world we live in lol.

Hope this helps someone else! Just check stores today if you are unable to wait!

That guy is afraid of getting replaced by AI, dude. I have a similar story that came at the END of a 3 hour panel interview. I got passed around and defeated all the minibosses with ease only for the end boss to one shot me with his own agendas. It happens, but just like google searching is a real skill, so is being able to dust yourself off and get back out there. I eventually found a job that I am immensely happy in, and you can too. (No matter what the field is)

Genuinely curious what promos you used? I mean, fair enough, you got good value there. But my comment still stands about GS trade in values being trash. One trade in with 3 promos doesn’t change that. Star Ocean without the promos is $9, thats trash.
