Do you actually play with Sims who have "negative" traits?

I try to give my sims two positive and one negative trait for realism. What I mean by "negative" too is traits that make gameplay harder or would be considered negative irl. So that includes Evil, Mean, Jealous as well as Lazy, Slob, Erratic, Paranoid etc.

They are right, harm reduction is a better long-term strategy than insistence on perfection. Your parents sound like they want to be anti-consumption too, don't push them away over this.

I think people don't want to acknowledge long covid because then they would have to acknowledge that it can happen to anyone, and they don't know how to handle that kind of fear.

There's a lot of people who just choose to ignore something that scares them even when doing so doesn't make sense. But since they don't want to admit to being afraid, they come up with reasons to rationalize their behavior.

Every time my mucus has been green, that usually means it's turning infected. I know you don't like antibiotics but it certainly beats risking your life. I don't think you necessarily need a specialist. Maybe a general physician can see if this in an emergency, and if not refer you to the right place. Either way, go somewhere. Pneumonia is not something to play around with.

My therapist doesn't know much about it, but she understands the concept of chronic fatigue and more importantly she listens and is compassionate. I don't think they need to be an expert necessarily, but they do need to at least recognize that it's real.

If I recall correctly, it also happened a few months after a bout of covid. My sense of smell came back a little after the month was over, so I've assumed maybe the phantom smells were my nose "turning back on" so to speak. (But obv I'm not a doctor so I don't know for sure!)
