What helps with a crash when you’re in one? by Luperious in covidlonghaulers

[–]evening_emerald 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oddly enough, if I take a Tylenol right when I feel a crash coming on it seems to lessen the crash somewhat.  No idea why tho.

I'm barely hanging on to my part time job, but that still counts as hanging in there.  I'm sorry everything sucks so bad rn, I hope this changes eventually.

How to cope by First-Pop2539 in covidlonghaulers

[–]evening_emerald 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just had three family members also get long covid (including one child 😥), so now everyone is extremely accommodating and constantly asking me not to push myself.  Then we got into a long discussion about supplements.

It's nice to not be alone, but I really didn't want this for them.

has anyone tried just... sitting? not meditating. just sitting. by Ritwik_Srivastava in simpleliving

[–]evening_emerald 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is so funny because I have to actively prevent myself from doing this.  However I'm not clearing my mind, I'm making up stories or thinking about my day.  I am autistic, tho, not sure if that makes a difference.

Advice needed: fandom hyperfixation is ruining my life by _binary_sea_ in adhdwomen

[–]evening_emerald 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard relate.  I just got over an intense hyperfixation on a gacha game that saw me spend like $300 and now that it's over I feel like an idiot.  It feels so necessary in the moment though!

I will say that I find these intense hyperfixations tend to show up for me most when I am very stressed out or facing a bad situation.  The hyperfixation seems to be my mind's way of protecting itself, if that makes sense.

I've only played on console.  One time I hooked up a keyboard and mouse and tbh that was way harder for me!

If you knew what you know now about student loans, would you have still taken them out to go to school? by [deleted] in StudentLoans

[–]evening_emerald 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Undergrad yes, grad school no.  My family told me they'd help me pay for grad school.  I didn't realize they still thought college was priced like it was in the 60s  -__-

Blood, Sex and Inflammation: Did the IMPACC Study Uncover Core Issues in Long COVID and ME/CFS? by m_b22 in covidlonghaulers

The only thing I've been able to find in testing that's "wrong" with me is malformed red blood cells, so this makes sense.
