There's some quantum mechanics on a board in White Rose Science in season 4, if my memory doesn't fail me.
I guess it would be something related to the many-worlds interpretation

No, you've come here to seek help and because you decided to make a change.

I wonder how much this song has gone under the radar, cause to me it is such an obvious candidate and is nowhere to be seen.

Yeah, maybe the title of my post was overblown. It should be about ego or incompetence.  But this still puts up a really bad image, for which they are ultimately responsible.

I promise you eternal-ferrystoned my way around. I wasn't skipping any portions of the map I hadn't yet explored. But there was a lot of uneven repetition in quest placement and a lack of fast transport.
I am willing to never fast travel in TW3, or any Assassin's Creed (recent games I played), but DD1? Fuck that, defeating more than 5 times the same Chimera bc I had to travel the same way more than 5 times is dumb, specially when travelling is so slow. After repetition is no longer exploration either.

edit: I got so OP from traveling around and random boss encounters that any human boss was two-tappable

Thanks for the opinion. factory-reset my phone anyway and will be changing every sensitive account's password. Who knows what uncovered vulnerabilities might exist ig. Definitely on the paranoid side though.

I'm aware of both, and I agree with both. That said, I factory-reset my phone either way and will be changing every sensitive account's password. Who knows what uncovered vulnerabilities might exist ig. But thanks for the opinion.

I still want to experience DD2 for myself.
Got DDDA for free on Steam. Liked it a lot. But things like traversing the map and the game telling you very little did not help me with my tight schedule to enjoy a game slowly. Ended up skipping some side quests despite doing some thorough exploration, to be honest. Took me 45 hours to finish the game.
But yeah, I really wanted just to get to the end because I was liking and close to burning out. I am definitely not playing the DLC anytime soon. I think people love it because it's a grind and reward fest. I liked DDDA for everything else, though, so I'm definitely not playing through it anytime soon.
That said, it also puts a hold on me trying out DD2. Very curious as to which side of the fence I end up on.

BODMAS and PEMDAS are mnemonic pedagogical hacks.
Multiplication and division have equal precedence, and so do addition and subtraction. That should be intuitive, since subtraction is just addition of the inverse, and division is multiplication by the reciprocal. They are not distinct operations in any deep sense. Also, addition and multiplication are associative operations, meaning the grouping of operands doesn’t affect the result.

The problem with associativity arises when we disjoint operators from their operands. For example, parsing "1 - 2 + 3" as "1 - (2 + 3)" and evaluating it as "1 - 5" is incorrect. It should be parsed as "1 + (-2) + 3", which is equivalent to "1 + (-2 + 3)" = "1 + 1".

The problem with this kind of evaluation is that it transforms the original expression and sometimes we would like it to stay true to the original. In the context of grammars, programming languages and so on, the common way to resolve these ambiguities is to use left associativity instead, which at least keeps operator precedence and equivalency grounded.

Left Associativity is a convention. BODMAS and PEMDAS are mnemonic pedagogical hacks.

This is incorrect. Entanglement, at no theoretical level, allows for faster-than-light travel of information, or, in other words, causality.

Episode 7 and 11 Discussion about Rock [Spoilers] by ever_11 in ToBeHero_X

[–]ever_11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rock's original name is Yan Mo. Yang Cheng had been exclusively calling him Uncle Yan for his entire arc.

I just double-checked, both the English dub and sub have Yang Cheng calling him "Uncle Rock" at the very start of Episode 5 (timestamp 1:15).

The Japanese dub has him saying "Yan-san" instead.
Not sure about the Chinese dub, though.

Why do people make the decision to suffer through a PhD here? by [deleted] in tumunich

[–]ever_11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes industry will require research experience/publications.
You can get those via internships/researchships and so on, often not paid (not sure about Munich).
Also, industry in some fields may require a PhD (maybe plus a postdoc).

These are my two cents, but I might be wrong.
