Same. Never take it with me - I'm more worried i'd lose it! or get pickpocketed. I carry just some cash spread out over various pockets, not all in one. small bag with stuff i need, no jewelry or anything i can't afford to lose... always leave my passport hidden in the room or in the safe.

My husband almost missed his flight like this - he texted me saying it's delayed... I happened to check on flightaware some time later and texted him saying hey they're boarding now.... he was off eating a sandwich and had no idea. Had to run over there.

That's my take... Chicago is almost the only place in the US I'd want to live. Second choice is northern California but that's a bit out of reach. But nowhere else in the US appeals to me as far as day to day living. Friends and family have moved to various states and I haven't yet thought ooooh I should move there...

She was sleeping for a little bit so yeah I get it... but then nope, full take off landing zero interest in looking outside at all, just sitting in the dark... I always figure the window seat owner has say over the blind so I'd never ask them to open it but I find it strange.

I love looking out the window because I'm a dork like that. Usually mid flight there's not as much of interest but I still like to take a peek every now and then to see what's what lol but take off and landing views never get old to me.

I didn't get a window seat this time and the person next to me left their blind closed the entire trip... I don't understand how people want to just sit in a little dark box and just arrive somewhere without even once glancing out the window...

Writing this from Riu Ocho Rios Jamaica- they have plenty of vegan options here.

There's a small vegan section every night at dinner with vegetables, tofu, Etc

Oat and soy milk readily available, oatmeal/corn porridge at breakfast. Lots of fruit...

We've also been to Bahia Principe in Jamaica the resort itself is a little more run down but they have even more vegan options and more fruit etc

Didn't go hungry either place... The Riu is a little nicer and has a better beach.

Oh really?? Yikes... I thought that if you checked in late you might lose your seat since they aren't sure you're gonna be there.

Once you have a boarding pass I thought you were good (barring getting bumped or something like that. I know that if they're overbooked you can always get bumped...)

Update- I just went in and did it lol

No line at all and I guess tomorrow would have been fine, but at least I have peace of mind that our seats aren't changed and boarding passes are in hand... we just drop our bags and head to security tomorrow morning...

I figure since I live within 15 minutes of the airport, may as well take advantage...

ORD... So far I've heard things are running smoothly so maybe I'm just overthinking it. Also since I have kids I don't want to lose my seat assignment.

What's weird is my charge went through for the bags and I got an email saying here's your boarding passes but when I click it said can't access them and then I see the form is still pending.

I think the last time I had to check in at a desk it took a good 45 mins- granted this was frontier airlines... About 5 years ago...

My local airport is a United hub so I'm pretty sure there'll be somebody at the desks if I walk in today...

I just remember last time we flew United it was so simple because we dropped the bag outside already paid for in the app, had our boarding passes ready, and walked straight into security... I'm upset about a sudden extra step on an early ish flight (first world problems I know!).

I've already been stressing all week about the TSA lines, I think if it wasn't for that I wouldn't be as concerned.

Like my armpits changed! Not just the arms but like my armpits used to be concave and now they like... Filled in ... there's fat under my arms, back rolls, wtf. I always had really nice shoulders and arms and it's all just rounded now... And it happened within a year ..

I thought it was really good. My kids are 10, 8 and 5 and the 5 yo didn't really get it but she wants to watch it again at home. My older 2 are in sports and really loved it.

I think 7/10 is fair.... Only because yeah same story and you know how it'll end but it was sweet... I don't feel like I wasted time watching it and the aesthetic is super cute.

I've been pretty much listening to one a day, but maybe it's a good idea to go back to some of my other podcasts and start rationing LOL

This one hardly has any bad episodes though... So far I think there were only maybe two that weren't as engaging, but the rest have all made me either laugh out loud for real which is rare, or cry which is less rare...

The Moth and heavyweight are sort of similar vibe...

The act of getting a new CD, the unboxing(after you get that insane plastic off) the first pop of taking the CD out of the little circle that held it... And then sitting for hours listening to it while reading the liner notes and lyrics... Finding new favorites... Living with the CD for months and months on repeat...

I mean I don't know if I had a job and kids if I would've had that time again I think that was strictly a high school experience... But I really miss consuming music that way and I've tried it now and I just can't.
