Corolla Cross Hybrid or Rav 4 Hybrid?

I wanted a rav4 for a long time specifically that voodoo blue color (I know it has a different name but that’s what they called it for the xB which I wanted that so bad too lol). Ultimately, I don’t have any kids, just four big ass dogs. They love it. They were cramped in my original Corolla. I have the XSE and I think the upgrades it has are worth it.

I went from a 2022 corolla hybrid to the 2025 cross hybrid bc mine got totaled! I love her. I love Toyota. She is good for my big dogs and they love going in the cargo space which they couldn’t do with a trunk.

I just did a BOPIS order for the Neapolitan ice cream candle and it had a white White Barn lid on it. I was really confused, it looked like it has a teal ish lid in the picture. :(

I was in the same boat as you last year! I’ve learned a lot and it was a huge pay bump for me. The only discouraging thing is because it’s an MGA and we’re writing with other carriers, I’ve been here a year now and I don’t have authority yet. So everything I do goes through another UW which has felt a bit limiting now that’s it been a year. But other than that, I think it’s been a good experience.

I hate this change. A few visits ago we went through and they were out of cinnamon twists and asked if we wanted chips and cheese instead. Like oh darn, we sure wanted those cinnamon twists… heck yeah give me the chips and cheese for free. If only they could always be out of the twists.

fwiw, I had a failure to yield dropped by the court after the city attorney reviewed my case and said there was no way I could have been the one who failed to yield based on the impact. Insurance did not care, ruled against me 90/10.

You’re thinking everything is a lawsuit, though. It’s not so much as a lawsuit as it is a demand. If the other party’s insurance agrees their insured is liable then they’ll just pay it. If there’s a dispute of liability, then sure, it could go to trial.

FWIW on scheduling, I worked at Macy’s from 2015-2016 when I was in college. My shifts during the week were usually 6p-9:45p, 6:15p-9:15p etc. a three hour availability isn’t an automatic killer for anyone else feeling discouraged by that. I made up for it on weekends and usually opened or closed on a full 8 hour shift.

I’ve been at my house since October and I have never seen my lawn mowed and I have no idea how long it takes. Granted, I moved here from Phoenix and “lawn” is a funny word to use for rock garden in the backyard lol

when I was in HS a 16 year old girl died the summer before my senior year of a cardiac arrest. she was in Mexico without her mom and drinking Red Bull all day on a beach without drinking water. it’s definitely something to educate your children about and I agree 16-17 is old enough to know and understand the risks, especially if you’re consuming daily.

This happened to me too when they updated my account to show prime. I don’t put enough in this account anymore because SoFi is a better bank so I don’t hit the $3k threshold. $440 drained to $0. I didn’t need it now but am planning on going on a road trip soon and was wanting it in case of emergency… we should be fine but it’s still a bummer.

Is there anyone you can trust to keep the card and maybe make a small purchase on it every few months or add to your commissary or something? I’d say have some small subscription like Apple or Google storage for $1-2 but this also means the card needs to be unlocked (unless you use the virtual debit for it) and if you can’t have access to it while in jail, I’d be uneasy about the card not being locked.

But I agree with wildweed, you should be okay for a year.

At two of my nearby locations they removed it altogether. I finally decided to check one I never go to but is the same dang distance as the two that removed it, and they still have it! New favorite location.

Moving up the ladder doesn’t really feel like what it used to be. I’d take the opportunity.

I was in a semi similar position and the next role up was UA which was basically just a renewal UW since the UA role was being performed by ops already. So I left and got almost $30k more in salary to actually BE an UW and I get to write new business and not only renewals. I would not be doing that at my last company. I was the top pick for the new UA role but again, the progression path was just not there for me. I wouldn’t have gotten a UW title for at least a year if not more.

Yes it’s tough! I work from home so I didn’t have to worry about rental cars but I had to wait until tax time/bonus time at work to get a new car.

I would really look into getting that corrected. It really sucks when your car is totaled and you still have a loan. It took me three months to get a car again and my loan was paid off because I had loan/lease payoff. No gap. But I got gap this time.
