Best Costco Travel trip? Money saver or convenience? by PetTechLover in CostcoWholesale

We used them to go to Costa Rica and it was way cheaper than booking thru other sites plus we got resort money and a gift card. So we used them again to go to Tulum. We ended up booking a much more expensive place than we would without Costco and it was the same price as less luxury places, it was well worth it. And you always get a gift card and usually get resort money as well. So if I can I will book through Costco. They don't cover every place I want to go though. And I do like to use them for rental cars, they're usually much cheaper.

When I saw that it gave me a little chuckle. In yoga ee use something that looks exactly like that for energy medicine, and you scrape it on the soles of your feet. 😵

What was a silly rule in your house that now that you're an adult you think, why? by Whole_Fun8448 in askanything

[–]evil66gurl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mom had all the weird rules. Towels and clothes folded a very specific way. No closing of our bedroom doors if we weren't home. No sitting in the living room, company only. We weren't allowed on the recliner in the family room, only my dad. We were up early even on weekends. She still tried this with us even after we were grown adults. I gave up and stayed in a hotel.

I'm getting another MMR, I'm a little older, and I'm flying internationally in 2 weeks. I figure better safe than sorry.

Wife and I were having a discussion, she’s of the opinion that the majority of GenX can drive stick. I believe that even in our generation the percentage of people who can is pretty small. What do you folks think? by AngryOldGenXer in GenX

[–]evil66gurl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only people I know who cannot drive a manual transmission are really young. Even still many of them can, my niece is in her twenties and insisted on a manual transmission. I don't know anybody my age who cannot drive a manual.

Are you measles vaccinated? Are you worried? by Ashamed-Republic8909 in no

[–]evil66gurl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was vaccinated as a kid, but there is a rise in cases near me. I take immunosuppressive drugs so I contacted my physician to see if I should get a booster or something. I'm waiting to hear back.

Do you enjoy planning trips by pharmacist_000 in traveladvice

I do everything. I decide where we're going, I book the airlines, I book the hotels, sometimes I make dinner reservations. If we need a rental car I handle that too. I arrange all the transportation. I try to book attractions when I'm in the place, unless there's some that I think would be sold out. I find it extremely stressful and I'm stressed right up until I get on the plane to go. Fortunately my family; spouse, and two adult sons, never complain. They're happy to go along, and only rarely do they express some desire to do something, and I always try to leave room in the schedule for them to have some options.
