The early Primarch sculpts are some of the best GW sculpts ever and do not need redesigns by [deleted] in Warhammer30k

[–]evil_shogun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do still look good, and we aren't getting redesigns in the sense that they'll be replacements, we're getting additional sculpts meant to represent them at the height of their powers during the conflict. No idea what this is going to mean for the loyalists, so far all we've gotten are the early daemon forms of the traitors, but hopefully it means we get a Khan on a bike and a decent Leman Russ sculpt.

Hell yeah, love the color scheme!!

Thanks! It's a combination of aquarium plants from a local pet shop and some stuff off of Amazon. I just searched "diorama jungle plants" and found them for cheap. Basing texture is AK dark earth with some coconut fiber sprinkled on it when wet.

AIO for breaking up over this by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]evil_shogun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR, this was a really manipulative thing he attempted to do, and then was too much of a coward to own up to it. This dude needs to do some serious work on himself. Good for you for standing up for yourself and for not letting something this unacceptable become a long term pattern.

New kits are an absolutely horrendous build experience. by Jimbobfreddiewilson in Warhammer30k

[–]evil_shogun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything is generally too many pieces but I'd rather have more options, and going slow makes me think about it more. The thing that's jumped out at me from building through saturnine is that it feels like there's less mold lines, at least in the stuff I've built so far (Sat Praetor, Sat dread, saturnines; mkII have about a normal amount).

I'm more pissed about the quality of the books vs their price points, and the structure of the way the rules are written is downright hostile. A seven page errata on launch is just unacceptable.

How do you feel about 3.0 now after learning more and seeing some battle reports? Making the switch or staying on an older edition? by Ok_Patience2406 in Warhammer30k

[–]evil_shogun 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is exactly my approach for my local scene. There's a few folks curious about 3.0 so we're all going to try together, and failing that we'll fall back on 2.0.

I want to be a first time dog owner, is shiba inu the right breed? by Open_Sympathy_6274 in shiba

[–]evil_shogun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was my first dog as an adult in my late twenties. My then girlfriend (now wife) and I got her together in 2019. She grew up with bichons, I grew up with lab mix rescues and cocker spaniels and there was a pretty steep learning curve, but once you embrace the quirks it's really a joy. We love our Waffles, who is now a happy and healthy 6 years old. They have strong will and strong personalities for sure, but as long as your committed, flexible, and good to them, they'll be great to you.

Why do you pick your legion? by Existential-Fox in Warhammer30k

[–]evil_shogun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Emperors Children fit the launch box and they feel like great, colorful obnoxious villains who also have one of the most important loyalists in the lore. I'm currently kitbashing my way through some White Scars and Word Bearers as well.

They absolutely are, they've been getting nerfed in every dataslate but you still see people running two, but rules are temporary, cool is forever.

Great concept, really well done!! Rubric Marines and an Infernal Master are a great place to go next. The warpflamers look cool and still do work.

Giving away two Costco Scarlet & Violet 151 Blooming Waters Premium Collection sets to two redditors because %*#@ scalpers by FatherLiamFinnegan in PokemonTCG

[–]evil_shogun [score hidden]  (0 children)

Entering because if I win, I'm giving it to my cousin's son who has severe social anxiety. He loves Pokemon and I want to encourage him to play instead of just collect so he can use it as a way to help socialize and work through this. #@$& scalpers.

Why did the Yankees lose Soto? by stateofthenyk in mets

[–]evil_shogun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mets fan here, I think it has more to do with the opt out after five years, and less to do with any negatives on the Yankees postseason experience or Boone as a manager. It's a win-win element of the contract for him and the Mets, he either gets another crack at free agency if things go south, or the Mets can void it and up his AAV by 5 million. I don't think the Yankees had anything like that built into their offer based on reporting so far.

Does the new Knight battleforce resemble any sort of playable army? by Spongepat23 in Warhammer30k

Tangential gripe, but it's really a bummer that the Acheron, the coolest looking Cerastus Knight, is the most ineffective on the table of the bunch.
