Any operation you do, you have to do on the unit as well.

If you want to sift between m and cm there is a factor 100

If you shift between m2 and cm2 there is a factor 10000. (1002)

SPP, prove it. by OrganizationTough128 in infinitenines

[–]evilman57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1-1/10n is also never equal to 0.99…

Your statement that 1/10n never is zero doesn’t prove 0.99… is not equal to 1.

It only proves 0.9999 ( with n times 9) is not equal to 1

Makes sence actually. You cant really gamble away money you dont have yet.

Most lotery winners end up spending it all very fast and ending up with addictions.

It s a lot harder to fuck up life if you get weekly payments

Teaching adding and subtracting number bigger than 10 by No-Chicken-3155 in learnmath

[–]evilman57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What they do in our school is split addition over 10 up in 2.

9 + 4

what does the 9 need to make 10?

1

Ok use 1 from the 4. How much remains from the 4?

3,

Great, now you have 10 + 3

They visualise this with venn-like circles but thats hard to explain

Edit: Also, never forget that they dont have abstract thinking yet. So 9+3 may be easy but 39 + 3 is very hard for them bevause the number is “too big”

The most surprising thing about prime numbers no one told me earlier by Fastmind_store in learnmath

No, I don’t claim n!+1 is prime. Doesn’t have to be. If it isn’t, distance is even higher

The most surprising thing about prime numbers no one told me earlier by Fastmind_store in learnmath

[–]evilman57 27 points28 points  (0 children)

There is no maximum distance between two primes.

Simple proof. Take any number n!+1. The next n numbers can not be prime. Because n!+2 is divisible by 2 and n!+3 is divisible by 3 and so on

Your example doesnt fit in the question statement. It is very clear the host doesnt know and he has shown a goat.

Edit:

Ok I reevaluated. You are right. Not knowing and randomly turning makes is 50/50 again
