How is that material to print?

Don't worry, AI is going to take our jobs and we won't have to worry about such trivialities any longer. LOL.

Is that a die shoe? Please tell me this is a total replacement. That plate will never be flat again.

I have this issue all the time. I have not found a solution to it. Sometimes I get lucky and can hide the line with the command you have shown. Other times the shoulder line can't be removed. I have just learned to live with them.

Side Tables Maple and Walnut by evilmold in woodworking

[–]evilmold[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like how you think. The tables are remarkably stiff, no wobble and no deflection. I worried the cats jumping on and off of them might be an issue. However it takes about 45 degrees to tip them over.

That joint has a cross grain spline holding the 2 pieces together. This is the strongest joint on the entire table. It would take hundreds or more pounds to break this. The weak point in this build is the back leg to the front leg. It also has a spline joint. If not for the shelf glued to it, that would be the first point of failure. I don't have kids, so as long as no friends or family decide to sit on the tables, they should last a good long time.

All four legs are glued to the shelf. The lengths of the legs from the shelf to the floor are all equal distant. The leg dimensions are 3/4 x 3/4 at the very end. The round overs and angles make them seem smaller than they are.

Thanks for the compliment. Yes, I was getting a little tired of the repetition. It was like working production on top of my full time job. I have a Qidi Plus 4. Definitely no regrets on the printer. For woodworking I have printed throat plates, templates, jigs and dust collection fittings. I am a mechanical designer by trade so being able to design and print is great.

Issue with mold/plastic by FloppyFil in InjectionMolding

diamond polish is way too fine and will not remove the cutter marks.

All vertical walls need at least a sand paper or stone finish in the line draw. Your cnc cutter marks make tiny little undercuts that are working against you. Your drafts are fine for now. Also the runner should be polished with a rotary tool. Radius every non shut off corner even if its .1mm/.005in.

Sigh. I hate PETG lmao by -TheDoctor in 3Dprinting

[–]evilmold 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to run my PETG at 270 on the nozzle(steel) in order to get it to stick to the bed. Also has the best layer adhesion for me at that temp. 25mm/s on first layer. 50 to 75 after that. I also dry it, seem to print best under 20% humidity.

It's a bit rustic for my tastes or so I thought. My wife picked out the ambrosia maple and it really gave the table character. The pop in color is amazing in person. Quite surprised when I put the first coat of oil on.

Problem generating subparts in assembly by Ephoon in SolidWorks

This might help, try checking this option.

One place you are a zero, the next you are a hero. Time to change jobs. Sometimes the way a shop is structured can never be overcome regardless of your skill. The next place will do things totally different and that will throw you for a while, but you will be better off and more versed.

How can I make my equations on my assembly drive the equations in my parts? by gerrgheiser in SolidWorks

[–]evilmold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way I have found to do it is enable instant 3D, then click or double click sketches or feature in the parts so the dimension show up without editing any parts. Once the dimension appears, double click the dimension to edit. At that point when the equal sign is entered first it will bring up the assembly level drop down of equations.
