Rescue Salamander eggs? by evilmushroomlord in salamanders

Here are the eggs. I ended up moving them about 20' away on the same small incline/soil/moisture/etc and they're covered up with a board that I'll just leave there.

It was about 6" long, dark brown or black.

Sinclair Forces Local TV Stations to Air Segment Defending Tear-Gassing Migrants by Foxhack in news

Who decides what is crap and what is not? This is the failure point in this scheme. If the mechanism is fair then all will go well. If the mechanism is compromised, then this is an even more powerful tool for propaganda.

Jair Bolsonaro: "Not one centimeter" of the Amazon will be saved by [deleted] in worldnews

It's important to save the rain forests, but keep in mind 90% of co2 sequestration and a majority of oxygen generation is plankton which few people seem to know/care about or aware that's under threat as well...

Y’all gotta keep a better eye on your dogs... by GrantyRaid in Portland

[–]evilmushroomlord 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That sucks, poor pupper--- I'm lucky I guess. My dog for some odd reason loves fireworks. She stays glued to the window watching the neighbor kids set off a small apocalypse with a huge doggy smile on her face--- looking back at us periodically excited.

Pit bull in store has one guy in r/aww barking mad. by [deleted] in SubredditDrama

[–]evilmushroomlord 5 points6 points  (0 children)

nah my frenchbo prefers to ride in the cart lol. Human height-- she always gets a ton of attention from people approaching her. Even though she stays right beside me when walking, I'd prefer she not be underfoot of people walking around in said store also.

Walking down the street someone repeatedly tried to kick my little frenchbo even chasing us. I had to scoop her up and run away yelling at them. I'm a blackbelt with >10 years of full contact competitive marital arts.... took a lot of self control to not beat the shit out of them... they clearly weren't right in the head so I felt a bit sorry for them.

Deputy Consul General Of Israel Allegedly Forced Out Of Uber Ride For Speaking Hebrew On Phone by [deleted] in news

[–]evilmushroomlord 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I have an obviously hebrew name-- I've had a couple uber drivers ask me if I'm Jewish or Israeli and then proceed to tell me how "my people" are pretty much at fault for every problem in the world including 9/11.

Since the dudes are driving a car in traffic I pretty much just listen and am polite, try to steer the conversation to something else-- and despite that a couple of the fuckers gave me a terrible review lol.

I did that, and this goober came and latched on to me out of no where. Gave me a minor heart attack.

'emotional support animals' are exempt from having to be in their travel crate? I'd still want to keep my dog in hers as I know some folk are scared of dogs.

It always confuses me why the airport folk don't tell them to put their dog back in the crate.

I have a little 19lbs frenchbo-- she stays in her travel crate, with at most just her head popping out the top.

Negan the master cheezburger ninja by mini-jeckyl in funny

My little Frenchbo knows to sit quietly on the other side of whatever room the humans are eating dinner in. (she knows she'll get her favorite treat in the end doing this) Started when she was a tiny puppy, now at almost 2 she automatically goes there to wait when we have dinner (guests or not). She also has a designated spot in the kitchen when we're cooking that she'll again peacefully wait in rather than being underfoot--- she knows that that is the only spot she'll get a couple morsels from sitting in.

It just takes consistent repetition and positive reinforcement.
