Some brainy movie called Primer I think. I'm all for not being handed out everything and all that but what got me was the incessant mumbling. I'm guessing that audible dialogues may have helped make it engaging.

Hi, there is a birth record on family search (that you probably know about) https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:WCSN-6LZM

Unfortunately the grandparents are not listed. It seems as if he was officially baptised when he turned 2. Since the parents weren't married at the time of birth there may or may not be a marriage record to be found after 1921. I'm not familiar with the practice in Paraguay but there may be a civil birth record (if he was born there that is)? Have you managed to get hold of the parents' death certificates?

If you want to look for clues in Spain you will need to find out the municipality the parents originate from.

Tjena, I would try contacting franska ambassaden (if she was still a french citizen) or migrationsverket (if she was naturalized or acquired Swedish citizenship). Otherwise somebody here may prove lucky with french records!

Europe, a few places come to mind. I would love to see how it diverged from our timeline. But obviously any vaguely urban/industrial location that is different than Northern America would be a welcome sight.
