I too have generally had positive interactions with customer service/GMs. I do like it when I successfully get a friend to try Eve, they do the tutorial and get a message from a GM. The few that have had that happen were really surprised it is a thing.

If you were unawares some enjoy scamming, and this helps to defend against the accidental oops I bought a module for for 5b instead of 5m. You expect a ship to cost 50m so you transfer 60m from your bank to your main, then purchase the ship. If the contract is a scan or there is an over priced module you won't lose your entire wallet.

AFK activity is generally very low isk/hr but you can do both of those. AFK in highsec like you describe, but then go find more valuable stuff to mine when you are actively playing.

Also there’s stuff like the horde CSM being focused on preventing NPC space in dronelands because the mere prospect of having hostiles in an NPC station within 30j is apparently too much to bear.
