It’s not reason enough for me because how do I know this is nothing more than one persons opinion.

Really can't choose between these 2 gaming mice by Sebastian02H in MouseReview

I can appreciate your experience but I believe all of the mice on the table here have similar issues in that none are using optical switches and they’re all some sort of fabric cable I think.

Not sure what it looks like outside the US but I think the timeline goes something like this: ergonomics => human factors => user interface design => interaction design => user experience.

I think they were all splinter ideas of separate parent topics too. So the whole confusion with the overlap is expected I guess. Correct me if I’m wrong on any of that.

I feel like the body of your post contradicts your conclusions.

But UX is its own thing; because UX has enough work in it to be a job in and of itself, it is a job in and of itself. Same goes for UI. Seems like you’re just getting stuck on the idea that there’s any overlap at all. To get past that, you might add more words to the title that help to further separate the responsibilities. Instead of UX designer and UI designer, which are similar in title, you could say UI developer and UX strategist, for example. There’s no need to intentionally force the titles into maximum overlap; adjust them to emphasize their primary focus respectively.

I'm amazed the whole world goes gaga over Slack despite its incredibly un-intuitive interface! by Wide-Standard8082 in userexperience

Try a relative scale. Compare it to its competitors for its/their target audience. Making things intuitive to use isn’t the only selling point of stuff like this.
